We love crawfish & we were so excited about trying this place! Great advertising idea to put coupons out for the locals to be lured in. Had a bounce house, Jenga blocks, & hula hoops my child was pumped about. Cute tiki huts to sit under and enjoy the beautiful weather. Everything seemed like a perfect idea for some good crawfish and family time. Sadly, the food is REALLY REALLY bad. I don't write this review to detour people from going there but hoping the business will fix this issue. Our $80 worth of crawfish, shrimp, potatoes, sausage, & corn was really terrible. Anyone who knows anything about cooking seafood knows it takes shrimp 3 minutes to turn pink & cannot be cooked for longer than 5 minutes or they will turn to rubber. Our shrimp were cooked beyond the phase of rubber. They were so hard we could not even bite into them. Ugh Grose!! The corn was not seasoned! Potatoes were so OVER seasoned and AND SO OVER COOKED THEY WERE SOGGY!! Crawfish was mediocre. would've been great at a friend's house ...FOR FREE! but there is no way I would go to a restaurant to pay for this. The icing on the cake when wanting a beer... B.Y.O.B ! Ugh!! Child couldn't bounce in "bounce house" - there were too many older punk kids just sitting in there playing on their phones!! This whole experience was a HUGE waste of money & just a huge disappointment. We will never come back. I really hope things change, place could...
Read moreRollin’ in on the back of a motorcycle with my man, the wind in our hair and crawfish on our minds — we stumbled upon a hidden gem: Swamp Donkeys Crawfish. Let me just say… this place did not disappoint.
From the moment we pulled up, the vibe was peaceful, welcoming, and full of Southern charm. The kind of spot that makes you wanna kick back, crack open some crawfish, and forget your worries. And y’all… the FLAVOR? Top of the line! Seasoned to perfection with that kick-you-in-the-tastebuds kind of spice. It was so good I had to wash my hands twice.. once for the mess, and again just to make sure I wasn’t dreaming.
They had a big ol’ fan blowing to keep the summer heat in check, but after that meal, I was the biggest fan.
Customer service? Impeccable. The staff made us feel like family, and not in the “grab-your-own-plate” kind of way — they were friendly, helpful, and genuinely glad we were there. And it wasn’t just for grown folks. I saw kids laughing, families gathering, and everyone having a good ol’ time. Total family environment with a big dose of Cajun love.
If you’re looking for crawfish done right, a place to ride into and relax, or just wanna feel like you’re at a backyard boil with people who know their stuff.. Swamp Donkeys is it.

Read morenow i only gave the service a 4 star cuz on this day. i waited almost an hour for my food. which it was packed and i was being patient. however when i asked at the window about the snowcrab s, how many clusters it would be for $23.99 the young lady said 2. now after waiting that hour. i didnt get my crabs with my order so i notified the waitress and then when she bought it to me it was very small so i took it back. and of course the young lady that rung me up machine was working to give me a receipt which i spent over $100 including tip. i went back to the window and just asked for a refund. but it took them forever so i stated just give me something else to sub for that since i was hungry by then and didnt want to hold up the line even further. the owner eventually came to my table with the snowcrabs and was apologized about the sizing however i understand. and i told him i love it here plus he's always made a way to my table it seems everytime i was there and asked how was everything whether he remembers it or not. and i did promise him i would complete this review. folks always bashing him and his business but i remained patient and was very understanding. i ended up leaving with alot of seafood and it was just as good the next day as whe i got it on that...
