Melissa the bartender is childish, rude, and unprofessional, to say the very least. The rest of the staff is friendly and have all agreed she is a consistent problem... And has been since she started. Management turns a blind eye to customer concerns regarding her behavior and poor service. We have seen her over serve folks then openly talk badly about them to other customers! Like the guy that lives above the bar who doesnt work there for example. She also lets him behind the bar (and he is not staff) only to turn around and whine about it! We've seen her be aggressive and degrading towards multiple women patrons. We've seen her talk poorly and give horrible service to many local and non local customers and no one holds her accountable for her actions.
As a local, I expected more from this establishment. This behavior is beyond unacceptable. She is clearly not cut out to work with the public let alone have the position of a bartender. I will never go back to this dump and will encourage my friends and family to avoid at all costs as well.
Last but not least, the food is WAY over priced and frozen... Nothing is fresh or homemade. It's always cold and disappointing. Do yourself a favor and go...
Read moreI am very offended I was asked to leave while there with friends, just because I had water instead of something to drink, I was told to get up for paying customers, ever though I was there with others. I felt targeted. I politely asked to say good by to my friends who were siting right next to me before leaving, and the staff keep telling me to leave. I am deeply offended by my treatment at this establishment, and definitely would not want to be a paying customer with this kind of treatment. I would certainly not recommend this place to others after this event, as I was not being offensive to anyone nor belligerent in any manner, shape or form. The way I was treated was very hurtful and it saddens me very much. I believe in being kind and thoughtful and welcoming and any business should have an inviting atmosphere lest it lose potential customers. I would think twice about stepping foot back into this establishment or recommending it to friends. As this experience has left me with a sour taste. I would not normally right a review as it is not my thing, but after such treatment I feel compelled to, as I would not want others to be put in such...
Read moreRudders Public House, located at 70 Wallingford Square in Kittery, Maine, proved to be a charming pub-style restaurant. We visited Rudders after a day of shopping in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and were impressed by its comfortable ambiance. The restaurant features three distinct dining areas, including an indoor bar, an enclosed heated outdoor patio that allows dogs, and outdoor patio seating. Our server provided prompt and friendly service, and the menu offered classic pub fare with a focus on BBQ, burgers, and chicken at reasonable prices. While the food was not outstanding, it was enjoyable for pub-style meals. The chicken and kale soup was a standout, and our sandwiches were satisfying and flavorful. Rudders seems to be a favorite among locals and shipyard workers, and the area offers additional dining options and shopping. Parking is available on the street or in a nearby public lot. We had a pleasant dining experience and recommend Rudders for those seeking a decent meal at a...
