Lacking curb appeal, this restaurant is a diamond in the rough. Open only about 8 months, the Butcher's Bar and Grill is a wonderful find within walking distance across the Delaware River from my hometown. Don't let the exterior be off-putting. Max promptly greeted us upon our arrival and was attentive throughout our stay.My Old Fashioned was made according to my preferences. A friend and I shared a baba ghanoush appetizer and mushroom cassoulet appetizer. We visited on Prime Rib night but opted for Bronzino and Chicken casserole. Both were good. The salad accompanying the fish was fresh and had just the right amount of dressing. The seasoned French fries were delicious. The rice pudding, dessert was milky and creamy served chilled; very tasty.
The simple fact that this restaurant is within walking distance from my home, makes it a great first choice. I will be able to eat as much as I want knowing that I'll be able to walk it off as I...

DEFINITELY...

The restaurant was cozy inside, and the staff was extremely friendly. Had a great conversation with the host about all their locations throughout New Jersey and the atmosphere on the weekends. If you're in the area, I would highly recommend stopping by, but make sure you're hungry because the portions are generous! I'd highly recommend the signature Turkish desert. It was delicious!
Needless to say, the next time I hike up this way, I will be stopping by again. The only downside is it's not closer to...
