If i could give this place zero stars i would but unfortunately thats not an option. This is the second time I've been screwed over by the maintenance shop. First time I came in for a PM was told to park and they would call me when it was my turn. 4 hours later they still had no idea how long it would be, only tech on duty was out on a road call, not sure how long he will be. I left after sitting for 4 hours waiting. Fast forward to today, it's Sunday morning. My day off. I decided it would be a good day to get some maintenance done. Yesterday afternoon I call this T/A to make sure a mechanic would be available. I was assured there would be. Told them, im looking to have a steer tire replaced, Federal DOT Inspection on both the truck and the trailer, and a premium PM on the truck. Was told...sounds good, see you in the morning. Pulled up just before 8am and was told, park in one of the spots and we will call you when the technician gets here. It's now 9:30. I just went in to ask what's going on and the two guys behind the service counter informed me that the technician never showed up, even went as far as telling me they called him several times to try and get ahold of him with no answer. Calls just go straight to his voice-mail. It's a Sunday morning, my day off, and I'm sitting in a parking lot of a company that has a service shop but can't staff the service shop, and there is zero accountability for its employees. This is now the second time they completely wasted my time! Edit... i went back the following day and spoke with the manager who was very apologetic for the previous days failures. The tech on the schedule today (Lucas) was professional and knowledgeable. He proceeded to get everything done with my truck and had a great attitude knowing I wasn't happy with how things went down the previous day. Its never fun for a tech to deal with a customers attitude for something thst didn't even involve him. He proceeded to change out my steer tire, performed a premium pm, and did the DOT Inspection both my truck and trailer, and had me out the door in about 3 hours. I have to say, the thought crossed my mind of not ever going back there but I decided to not let the irresponsibility of one employee taint the outlook on the entire place. The manager made things right, even ensuring me corrective action would be taken internally! I decided to change my rating from one star to three, and plan on using their services in the near future. If the service I received today continues, you may see me change the rating...
Read moreEasy entry and exit. Arrived at 1640 and there was still a lot of parking in the back half of the lot. Laundry services is 3$ each service & does not accept credit cards for payment. Restroom decent, but needs attention. Store has a fancy drink machine, but on top of not having Coke Zero as an option, they have absolutely no straws. Ok, correction. The straws are kept behind the counter due to NJ going green. They say if they're caught with straws out, they'll get a 5,000$ fine. I am shocked. Said they are soon to go to paper straws, and etc etc. Taco Bell hours are 1000- 2200. Pizza Hut Express hours are 1000- 2200. Country Pride, I will never eat at again. I placed a to go order & then left & came back at the alloted time. The waitress out loud from across the room yells at me to, "go stand over there & don't stare at the cook." Wow. I'll never pay money to eat here again. I don't have my glasses with me, so I guess they got a bad vibe of me squinting. I wasn't even looking at the Cook, how can I see her behind a wall?? Anyway, I was looking at the to go boxes on the counter that seemed to be ignored. I ignored her, but when she paid me out, I told her how embarrassing that was. I am in disbelief that she spoke to me the way that she did. & then as I'm talking to her about it, she walks off from me. At this...
Read moreTypical 'only horse' in town with a captive clientel. Corporate pricing designed to squeeze as much as possible out of a truck drivers wallet. Fuel and gas as much as 40 cents cheaper less than 5 miles away. CHARGING - daily, weekly, monthly, yearly for what should be free Wi-Fi. CHARGING a fee for 'reserved' parking because they know damn well that there are hardly any other places to park; so when the truck stop is full they might as well get revenue from 10 to 25% of those parked there. Same old same old buffet food that is good when first put out -- but becomes ugly all too quickly. Cramped tv room they let vagrants sleep in (they tore down the motel so don't tell me they couldn't provide a bunk for those stranded or 'down' for the night). 'Service' 'managers' who can't find a wrecker less than 45 miles away for someone when one 5 minute phone call to N.J. State Police will provide the on-call dispatched wrecker within minutes. Selective repair service preferring Freightliner-only -- forgive me but I thought truck stops were there to help ALL drivers needing work done....
