Update 2025
So it's been over 2 years since going here. We purchased gift certificates from dine on a dime to give them another chance. I placed a carry out order, they would only let me use 1 of the 2 gift certificates I had the order was over 30.00 & each gift certificate was 10.00. (They still would have made money & had a happy customer) I paid the difference, kept 1 of them & brushed it off.
Returned again on 1-3-25 with my remaining gift certificate. I ordered the 9.99 pizza special & bread sticks at menu price, My total was about 18.00. I handed them the 10.00 gift certificate & 8.00 cash. The owner returned & told me she couldn't take my gift certificate because I ordered a pizza with the coupon. She finally did take it for the breadstick portion of the order, although she was very salty about it. I paid the full 10.71 for the pizza. She referred to my gift certificate as a coupon. It does not say coupon on it, nor does it say only valid on menu priced items. With that being said, if you don't want to honor them, do not sell them thru dine on a dime. Pizza was ordered at 4pm & requested at 715 it was not ready until about 725. The odd thing was it was not very hot when I got it.
Original Review from 2 years ago.
We have went there off & on for years. Since covid, they have went down hill. I don't like the way you have to order. My biggest reason for this negative review is last time we were in. This will be our last. We went to the counter & ordered. We say there for over an hour & our food didn't come. No one checked on us just left is sitting. I finally went up to the counter to check on our order. The young man looked confused & got owner. She advised me they didn't get our order. After going thru the tickets to find our order. They apologized & said they would get it immediately. The food did come quickly after this. We were not offered anything. In my opinion, we should have at minimum been offered a free drink while we wait. Maybe even a gift certificate to get us to return. At this point, we will not be going back. Other visits recently have been slow. All this could have been avoided by an employee checking on us, which was never done in...
Read moreFound this place on a road trip! The pics looked so good I had to stop. Called and ordered and the guy said 30 minutes. I was already outside and they were pretty busy so we waited about 25/30 minutes and went in. The lady was very helpful, even caught an overcharge the kid had quoted and fixed that for us. I loved the atmosphere it felt like a little diner! Got the food, which was ready and left. Grabbed a piece and it was only warm.. the crust was somewhat bendy so I knew it had sat for a bit. The cheese and sauce were delicious and I bet this would have tasted better if we had eaten there and it was hot and fresh. I think the kid told me too long of a time. If I ever pass thru again I will try it again.. all the dishes being served to the tables looked so yummy and I totally should have ordered garlic bread after seeing...
Read moreThis little gem of authentic Italian cuisine is by far the best Italian food I have eaten in a very long time! The Sicilian Pastone is fresh, scrumptious & inexpensive. I was pleasantly surprised of its size & flavor. The pasta is delicious, filled with wonderful marina sauce, creamy ricotta cheese, sundried tomatoes, fresh parsley & topped with a thick layer of melted mozzarella cheese. Three humongous, delicious, freshly baked breadsticks with flavorful marina sauce & a wonderful salad w/Alfono's signature Italian vinaigrette were included with the meal. The thin crust Italian Sausage & Pepperoni pizza is phenomenal. The owners & staff are friendly & the service is superb. We will certainly return to Alfano's the next time we visit family in...
