La Fiesta Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Knoxville

I have been here several times. The last two times I got the same waiter. Not good! When I went in the door i recognized the young lady working the desk, and let her know that my family was coming and that i was on a half hour supper break so i needed to order right away. She said she would let the waiter know. The waiter with spiky hair came over and I ordered my drinks and he turned away and walked off before i could say anything else. He came back and put the two diet cokes on the table and turned quickly and walked away. I sat there for about 10 minutes and decided to take a drink( had been waiting on a straw) It was flat. extremely flat. So as i sat there, the young lady came back over and asked if my order had been taken, i said no. She took the orders and turned it in. I told her about the drinks. I ordered one of the nachos without peppers and she had said okay. When the food came out Omar (she told me his name) said two nacho supreme s, so i asked which one was without peppers. He said "made with peppers" "pick them out". Had told the girl that her CO2 was out and could i get drinks that weren't flat. We got lemonade right as i took the last bite of my food. She told me that she tried to talk to the waiter and that he wouldn't listen to her. I asked about the owner or manager, she said that her uncle was the owner and that he wasn't there. I told her that we would never be back, she said OK. She handed me a bill for 23 dollars and said have a good day. The only reason i am giving one star is that you cannot...

So, I s)poke with a gentleman working the register that claimed he was the owner. My son and I received very poor service here today, which has never been the case before. That being said, I had no intentions of making it a big deal about, I just wanted to simply inform management about it so they could address themselves. However, the moment I started to mention it and explain the situation, the gentleman I was speaking with claim9edy( to be the owner and was completely dismissive to me. Again, I just tried to explain that the service was poor and let the "owner" know that I had get up and find our waiter every single time we needed something because he was not coming by at all and/or checking on us as a table with our needs. The "owner" was very dismissive about the whole situation, kept talking over me to where I was unable to speak, and ultimately ended it by telling us we could just leave and not come back of that's how we felt about it and what we chose to do. I have always had great experiences up until this point so, it was very unfortunate to see them handle this situation in the manner in...

La Fiesta is consistent in their service and food. Rarely do you get a "friendly" staff member who is happy to serve you much less greet you. However, I go there to eat and not add names to my Christmas card list. That being said, they aren't rude or hateful, just not overly friendly. Perhaps they are understaffed? I stood for several minutes at the register waiting to be checked out before anyone came up front last time.

The food and drinks are typically the same, consistently good, and no complaints. The restaurant is starting to show wear and tear and could use some deep cleaning, lite repairs, maybe different lighting to help the atmosphere feel cleaner and fresher and not like it's own 24/7 and there's never down time to really clean and give attention to these things.

There's a saturation of Mexican and South American cuisine restaurants in town - everyone is going to have to be putting out their best or risk losing some business.

We'll be back as we love the food and the prices are decent. There's definitely reason to look into some of the other similar...
