Review is for "Acadiana Cafe" and not the hotel. The social media posts stating Acadiana Cafe has relocated to this hotel is very deceitful and misleading! There's NO cafe. The Acadiana Cafe food truck is subleasing a spot in the backyard of the hotel. You walk into the bar of the hotel and place your order with the bartender who is NOT employed by Acadiana Cafe but, she's very kind and helpful nonetheless. You're given a ticket and you proceed to deliver it yourself to the food truck. You're given a pager, etc. In the meantime you have to gather your own utensils and condiments from a makeshift table while you sip your tea from a plastic cup. Meanwhile all the local patrons from La Coste are enjoying their tea in actual glasses. You just paid $15 for a fried catfish plate (lunch special) and you then have to go back outside and pick up your order. Once you receive your food the food looks lackluster and that's putting it nicely. The hush puppies are obviously old and were refried. The dinner roll served with our etoffee was also rock hard. Sadly the owner of Acadiana Cafe is riding on the coat tails of his former success of Acadiana in San Antonio and putting zero effort in the quality of his food being served from his food truck. Do better "Dave"! Your loyal patrons of Acadiana deserve far better! Don't waste your gas, time or money here.

Do you know how hard it is to find a good spot to relax and work in the area? Very. I'll be totally honest, when they first opened I came and thought it was more of a 4 star spot based only on the growing pains I'm sure. But in the past couple months they've put some serious work in. The drink prices are fab, great food menu, the ambiance is really cool (country chic + relaxed), and the outside looks SO nice. Today I came to enjoy a Friday afternoon beer and fries while I finished up my work week. 2 secure wifi options - super fast. Lovely folks here enjoying lunch and country oldies. Super kind bartender who makes a point to remember your name (not sure if they're all like this but Kelbi totally is). I can't wait for a staycation here and to listen to some evening music. If you live out here or just want to get away from the city to round out your week, this is the spot for you.

I did not stay in a hotel room here. During the time that I was here, the female bartender was the only employee taking food and drinks orders, accepting payments & opening tabs, and making and serving drinks. She was drastically overworked with the 2 other visible employees doing nothing but placing food on tables and bussing tables. At one point, the line for ordering anything was 20 minutes long. The bartender was also the only person who could check a guest into the hotel.

I stayed at this beautiful place for 3 nights and loved everything about my stay there. The hospitality was phenomenal. Traciann, who runs the hotel, was so accommodating. It's a family affair, her husband and her daughter both work there as well. Whiskey, the bartender, was wonderful, always making me feel welcome. The catfish was perfect. The red beans & rice were the best I've ever had! The owner even came in while I was having dinner in the bar and had a wonderful conversation with me. The first night I was there, the locals played a trivia game in the bar. Night two was Karaoke, and on my last night, live music was performed by a talented and varied musician and singer. I can't wait to go back! It will be my preferred place anytime I work in the area again! Oh, one more thing: the restoration with all of the antiques made me sure that the hotel was haunted, but I slept like the dead! I didn't even hear the...
