I tell the lady at the drive thru I wanted a route 44 power aid with easy ice. She says "route 44 power aid anything else?" I say "easy ice." She says "anything else?" "I would like easy ice in that power aid." She says "yeah I got the easy ice part, anything else?" (In a very disrespectful tone.) So I drive away and call the store. I'm told "the manager is on the phone, she'll be with you when she's back" after waiting on hold I hang up and call back, the lady apologizes and tells me "there was just a gunman in the store and please hold for the manager. After waiting awhile the call disconnected. I call back and a boy answers and I say "I was waiting for a manager and the call disconnected" he starts yelling "there was just a gunman in the store so yeah the call disconnected." And I said "well, I think you should inform the customer before you disconnect the call and the guy just yells louder "THERE WAS JUST A GUNMA...." (I hung up.) I wait about 20 mins and call back and a woman answers and I ask to speak to a manager. The boy answers after a moment. I ask if he is a manager he says "no I'm a cook. are you the guy that just hung up on me" and I say "you hung up on me first." He starts yelling and screaming to the top of his lungs, I ask his name and he yells something and hangs up. I call right back and a woman answers she sounds very angry and says her name is Wanida the manager and I say "hello wanida I called there earlier and the call disconnected and I called back.." wanida starts yelling over me "what do you want from me what do you want from me? Why were you calling in the 1st place?'' I tried telling her "I have multiple issues that should be addressed" she continued yelling "what do you want me to do?" I said "I want you to retrain your staff!" She yelled "no I won't and you need to stop calling or I will call the police on you for harassment" I hung up and called corporate. Problem is the only other sonic close is in rocky ford, and that one's water taste strange to me. I don't think I will ever order from this sonic again. (It is very common for really bad customer service at this location but this time might be the worse customer service I've ever experienced. Read moreStopped through a town I hadn’t even heard of to pull over to try to book a hotel on my phone…happened to be passing Sonic and decided to pull over to get some food while we looked up hotels up north…this proved to be the most costly choice of our road trip! I used to love Sonic slushies when I was younger and thought, “why not?” We went to the drive-thru window, ordered food (pretty normal for a fast food place) , but for some reason, the girl gave us our food before she gave my card back…acting a little off, didn’t think much of it at the time, BUT a couple days later my card was turned off for fraudulent activity (after a $520.49 charge to ‘The city of La Junta’ had been processed with numerous other fraudulent charges flagged) The only place we stopped in that town was Sonic…We were traveling from California to Missouri to see my mom who hadn’t been doing well, so this was more than unpleasant to find out. I have since called the complaint line so many times over the last month and have been promised a call back (which has yet to happen!) I can’t even look at a Sonic sign now without crying! This has been THE worst drive-thru experience of my life/worst time trying to speak to someone who cares enough to do something to make this remotely “right”. Read moreI honestly have no idea how this location has above 2 stars. I don’t like disparaging our local businesses especially online like this which feels so cowardly but I haven’t had a good experience at the La Junta Sonic since I was in high school 20 years ago. Just ordered online, arrived at the time it said food would be ready and sat in a stall for about 10 minutes. The rude car hop who sure seemed like she was having a rough day hastily handed the food to me as quickly as possible and just walked away before I could check for missing stuff which is a constant. Like a sucker I tipped online which will never happen again. We had shakes and a slush which were all melted, indicating the food sat there as long as I did. We were missing multiple sides and as is the case 100% of the time there were no sauces. I pressed the button to ask for my order to completed and left after 5 minutes of not being addressed. Arriving home we find the food is cold, most dishes were overcooked and hard (chicken strips, popcorn chicken, and corn dogs). This is far from the only time we’ve been let down dramatically and I will not return, ever, not for drinks or a kids special occasion, never. For the sake of our local commerce and options for this town, please shape up some day. You make La Junta...
