La Barrita Bar — Restaurant in La Presa

This bar seems pretty fun and enjoyable, however I do have some concerns.

I came with friends as the DESIGNATED DRIVER, mainly to keep their company and ensure they had fun while garnering their safety... But we hit a snag.

I am confused by the rather bizarre requirement, both sexist and unilateral in nature: "Men MUST wear pants in this establishment"???

I am not partaking of the dancing, nor of any beverages ... I am here for my friends' safety. As I was turned away at the door for wearing... Casual shorts... I chose to stay in the vehicle nearby- a scant few miles down the road- to pick them up as I was BARRED from entry for my lack of 'lower leg coverage'...

My friend tonight is barely responsive, shivering and clearly facing symptoms of severe alcohol poisoning.

Bars are LIABLE FOR NOT CUTTING OFF PATRONS WHEN THEY ARE INTOXICATED ...

My friend is ill due to their continued allowance to imbibe MULTIPLE TYPES OF ALCOHOL well beyond the point of inebriation. At no point were they asked to refrain from drinking more... At no point were either of my friends cut off.

Please, be vigilant. The next time I show up, if I am barred from joining them for my choice of pants wear, I will NOT let...

this is a review from when i last went here from the pictures i have seen it looks a lot different from when i used to go back in 2014 and it looks nothing like it did before im assuming they are changing for a different audience i liked the chill atmosphere with all the military vets like myself no fights ever happened noone was ever so drunk they couldnt walk and everyone that went lived right down the street like myself so you could just walk home if you had a bit much the service was great when i went beer was on the cheap side I dont drink hard liquor when im at a bar only at home food was great but i was only there for the alcohol and socializing and the bartenders were always nice even if there was someone rude if anything did escalate they were escorted outside but from some of the recent bad reviews idk if i want to go back so yea this review is from what i experienced years ago now i'll just have to go back one of these days and do a new review but idk when...

This is such a fun bar! It’s a good size, there’s an outside area as well and the bar top is pretty big. I went on a Friday night to celebrate my friends birthday, we got a couple bottles with a few tables. Bottle girls and bartender are on top of everything and always ask if you need anything else. The music was GREAT, I danced all night I didn’t want to leave. Love the mango shots, way too good. Also love that on the tv screens they’ll randomly have $5 shots or buy a beer bucket and get shots. It’s a fun way to get excited to keep buying drinks. There’s a cover after 10:30pm & a huge security guard outside making sure everything is good. 10/10...
