July 20th 2023. I went through the drive thru and I ordered a double burger and fries. I asked the guy if they had Diet Coke? He said "yes". I ordered a large Diet Coke. I asked if they put salt on their fires. The guy said yes. Before I moved forward I saw the beverage listing. I saw Pepsi. I clarified with the guy if they had coke or pepsi. He then said "pepsi". I cancelled my drink. When I got my burger and fries I found out that the fries DID NOT have salt. What is going on? I've noticed that other fast foods are no longer putting salt on their fries anymore. Why? Is there a new directive requiring fast food joints to no longer put salt on fries? The salt needs to be put on the fries as soon as they come out of the fryer so it will stick onto the fries. Because if you try to put salt on the fries after they're dry, the salt just goes to the bottom of the bag. Plus chris' fries don't taste as good as they use to. What's happening Chris' Burgers? You use to be one of the best burger joints in town. But not anymore. Very disappointing.

I ordered a double burger with fries. I asked if I could get half fries and half onion rings. The young lady told me no they can't do that. While waiting a gentleman ordered his meal which had chicken with half order of fries and half order of onion rings. I looked at the same young lady who took my order. I asked her why did this guy get half order of fries and half order of onion rings but I couldn't? She told me that that's the way it is. The chicken comes with half order of fries and onion rings but not the burgers. I left it alone but I thought to myself how stupid that is. If they can give half order of fries and half order of onion rings with chicken, they should be able to give half order of fries and half order of onion rings with a burger. I don't see why they can't do that? Anyway the burger and fries were good. I was going to order the onion rings separately. But I was told the fries cost around $2.50. The onion rings cost around $4.50 to $4.80. No way was I going to pay $4.50 for...
Read moreSoooo, it was about 3:30pm—end of a lunch rush—I suppose on a Sunday! Super busy for me, no parking there so i parked at the plaza across the street. Extremely crowded inside as well as the drive through. My cousin ordered for me before I got there…I thought he paid but apparently you pay after you order or maybe thats an option. It was unclear. That was the motif with the place. After my number was called to pay… I assumed my food would be ready especially since my cousin ordered 20 minutes earlier… then I paid… but I proceeded waited another 15 minutes before getting called up to collect my order. They forgot the drink so my cousin made sure to let me know that (this is his favorite burger spot in la puente). I got the drink and realized there was a larger line than when I first arrived.
Anyway, to get to the food. It was not mid. It was above that. Worth $18 with the now included small drink? No! But then again where in areas near Los Angeles CA can you get those $20 family pack prices?
So, i enjoyed the chili cheese fries. They are not extremely greasy and have a good balance of chili to cheese. It is shredded jack cheese as is standard. The fries were salted and natural cut. Just like m— Anyway!
I miss the days of “relaxed” businesses and $8 burger meals. Not panicked, simulation-esque madhouses with no parking and overpriced, overhyped burgers.
Sure Chris’ is decent but I wouldn’t drive out of my way, without a cousin’s recommendation,...
Read moreChris’s is a great family place. I go here almost every other day for 5+ years now they have good food for all times of the day they have friendly service my only slight complaint would be some of the workers are knit picky with customers and get kind of annoyed easily when you’re simply asking for the service they provide. I also notice that the price will be different day by day (only 50 cents or so) but it seems as if they don’t really have a set price on some things as the cashier will often charge me different amounts, like I said I come here often so I notice that kind of thing, there’s times I’ve gone here specifically for an item I get often with the exact change and been told it costs more. But none the less Chris’s Burgers is a great place to eat they often make the food fast the owner is very friendly and accommodating for customers who feel they have been wronged and I believe that makes a restaurant. Good intention. And the owner definitely tries his best to please...
