After what I sat back and witnessed tonight I am in pure disbelief. There was a party of people celebrating a birthday. Wait let’s go back. On the door it says they don’t accept out of state IDs. A lady I was speaking to on the balcony said they got there at 7 and the bartender told them since they had a couple family members with them from Tennessee and the bouncers were not there yet they were fine. Remind you these people were there for a couple hours having some drinks and ordered food. One of the gentleman went to his car to get a pack of cigarettes. He went to come back in the way he went out through the side gate. A bouncer came running out the door and grabbed this man by the shoulder and pushed him back. The gentleman had no idea what was going on just that someone had grabbed him aggressively. He yelled at the man that he needed to get his hand off the gate. The other man asked him to get his hands off of him. At this point another bouncer came out wanting to check IDs but the bartender had done that already and they were served the whole time. The bouncers seen the Tennessee IDs and told them they had to leave. Let me remind you the bartender had already approved then in. The group was made to close their tabs and leave. I would like to point out if you can’t come in and out of that gate it should be locked and that bouncer he could have handled that a lot differently. He had no right coming out there hostile and grabbing this man. It seemed the bouncers were just playing big man on campus and throwing their weight around. I personally feel this bouncer put his hands on this man and should be held accountable by the law. You just can’t grab a man and shove him because he was opening a gate. He had no idea he was doing anything wrong. Also there is no sign saying you can’t. In fact inside the gate there is a sign that says EXIT!! Also making people leave because they are not a resident of Indiana is wrong and I feel it’s discrimination. Moral of this post do NOT waste your money at this place. Go somewhere that welcomes everyone. If everyone would stop giving this place their money then they would have to close their doors. We as humans should not condone this behavior of just what it is racism and Discrimination against out of state human beings. You know what my money is to good for this place. If anyone else has encountered this please make it known, maybe it’s time to file a lawsuit against the owners and the bouncers one to the owners for not controlling their employees and letting them put their hands on innocent people. Also the bouncers they need assault charges. To the owners of Aces pub maybe consider letting another bar owner take over your place. Also the good hard working people take your money and spend it in a place that welcomes everyone and treats people...
Read moreI wouldn't recommend this establishment. I was at this pub visiting with friends last night I do not drink I had soda during my entire visit we sat outside we r smokers .. I witnessed one of their bouncers man handling a patron. The man was trying to open the gate to let his wife out. Some of the party he was with was asked to leave due to they lived in TN they had been there already 2 1/2 hrs and having fun for a birthday party they had drove 7 hrs for and had no issues until one of the bouncers arrived he was New to this pub. they were all very friendly and just playing pool and visiting . even the bartender had told the bouncer she cleared them. At this point 3 in the group had ordered food and had to box up their food and leave how pathetic is that litterally they were ok to take money from but had to box their hot food and leave. Since when do we not allow adults with proper ID wether out of state or not into an Indiana establishment. when u look at The gate inside and out it said exit on the inside and nothing on the outside. Since when also do u give a bouncer the right to be rough with a patron and laugh in His face as he was rough with him who at that point had not had any problems at all. Even a secondary bouncer did not agree with his methods . the patron never laid a hand on this bouncer. I can promise u if i ever have out of state visiters I will not bring them to this pub.which is sad because you would think as an owner u would want the name of ur pub spread as a great place to come and have fun. I will not return to Aces which i used to enjoy even tho they took out smoking. I will spend my money in an establishment were all are welcome and not discriminated against if they r Visiting from out of state. IT IS...
Read moreThis was my first time here and it was good. We went on a dead night apparently, which was fine because it was chill and the pool tables were open. They have a significant amount of TVs, and I loved that game show network was playing. Would appreciate some closed captioning on at least some of the TVs though. The bartender was very nice and down-to-earth. The food was good and there was a lot of options. There is plenty of seating. Some of the chairs are wobbly and need fixed up or replaced though. I also love that it's non-smoking.
My only frustration was how unkept their social media/online presence is and how I had no idea what I would be walking in to, as they have no website, page, or anything. Even here on Google, there's no menu or information at all. They also don't have a drink menu in the establishment, which i thought would be helpful. But we were pleasantly surprised! We...
