Agave's Mexican Restaurant Lafayette — Restaurant in Lafayette

I have been coming to Agave’s ever since it has been opened. I enjoy this restaurant. Tonight I was very disappointed. I called in at 8:30pm to see if their business hours had changed due to the restaurant recently moving locations. It says on Sunday that they are open until 10:00pm on Sundays. We placed our order for carry out instead of being able to go inside like we had planned. Then, I ask specifically for my order to not be drenched in cheese dip that I would rather have regular shredded cheese. I repeated myself 3x and still got my food drenched in cheese dip after telling them 3x that I don’t want cheese dip. Ruining the rest of my food! Wasted a whole plate, because you did not want to do your job. If you don’t want people to come after 9:00pm fix your business hours on Google. Stop rushing peoples orders and messing up your business just to go home. You should have never taken our order if your were going to intentionally mess it up. We were the only customers their and waited for 15mins for an order that wasn’t even right. The cheese dip was more like cheese water. I will always support and love this Agaves! The employees are so very kind, welcoming and caring! Each person welcomes and greets you with the best attitude. There is this female waitress whom I get frequently and I adore her! She’s so kind, and offers more items for food. For example when I order the tacos with carne asada she’ll offer me lime and spicy salsa to go on them. Her compassion as well as service is extremely helpful and excellent. The food is always superb! I never have any complaints about the food. My favorite dishes to get are: carne asada tacos on corn tortillas with cilantro and onion. I’ll order extra cilantro with lime and spicy salsa. I also get the guacamole azteca, it’s so delicious and very healthy! It’s good for you if you’re trying to watch calories and want something healthy! The amount of dice avocado they give you is amazing! I would also like to take a moment to mention how clean and welcoming the environment is. The lighting is perfect! It has a very calm and relaxed vibe. OK first I just want to say that I am picky and so is my husband. We've been to a lot of restaurants and we only like a handful. Agave's is our favorite place by far. I don't even have to tell my husband where I'd like to go anymore when he asks if I would like to go out for dinner. The people there are so friendly and smiling. The atmosphere is very nice and they are REALLY fast. But what I LOVE MOST is the FOOD!!!! First thing they always bring fresh warm tortilla chips and fresh salsa that is delicious to munch while you look at the menu. We have ordered a bunch of different things and every single time I'm like "ok, this is my favorite." Seriously, we have NEVER been disappointed with one thing. At all. Everything is perfect, fast, excellent. I will never like anywhere better. I have never in my life been completely happy with everything when going for dinner.
