Bizakaya Hibachi Sushi Korean — Restaurant in Lafayette

Hibachi steak and shrimp was good as well as the Strawberry Sushi Roll. I didn’t get a picture of my steak and shrimp because I was hungry and woofed it down. 🤣 The only complaints I would have is that it is a small restaurant. It’s more setup for take out. There are a few small tables but if you have a bigger family or party, there isn’t much room. We had a party of four and did manage but the tables are small and you run out of room quickly. Another complaint I would have is that you only get on small ramekin of yum yum sauce with your meal. If you want more, you have to buy 3 small ramekins of yum yum sauce for a $1. However cheap it is to make or buy it, I would just add a few extra cents to the price of the meal so that people can have as much yum yum sauce as they want. The service however was top notch! Very courteous and polite staff. One more thing I should mention is that there is only one restroom which one of the staff has to lead you through the kitchen area to get to it. Ordered a shrimp tempura roll, and a hibachi chicken plate for takeout while up in Lafayette moving. As far as the taste of the food, I thought it was fantastic. The chicken and vegetables had an at home stir fry taste while my least favorite part of the hibachi chicken plate was the rice. It tasted like the skillet may have been over seasoned but was still good to eat. I thought the portion of chicken and vegetables were a bit small but with the economy the way it is I can understand how the chef is trying to give out the best quality food at an affordable price. My only problem was the shrimp tempura roll. The menu stated it came with tempura shrimp cucumbers and avocado but mine only had tempura shrimp in it no cucumber or avocado. Not sure if the chef didn’t have the ingredients or just forgot but if they could remember to put in all listed ingredients in their food I would recommend to others...

I’m about 1 and a half hours away from Lafayette and I was out needing gas and food so I asked a gas station worker what he recommended and he told me “Bizakaya a hibachi place they just opened” and I love hibachi. I came here the 2 people in the front were very welcoming and I enjoyed talking to them about what I was doing and I got the super Tennessee roll and it was phenomenal to say the least.
