Grecian Steak House — Restaurant in Lafayette

THE WORST EXPERIENCE. My fiancé and I wasted on date night dinner there. We first both got the sea food buffet at $14.99 a piece! I broke a tooth trying to eat a piece of fish that was EXTREMELY hard. We felt like we got the leftovers! The food tasted like it had sat in there all day. I told them I could not eat it and asked if I could get something off the menu and if I still had to pay for it. She came back and said we still had to pay for one of them. We agreed because we didn’t want to ruin our night and the waitress we had was very nice and understanding. We ordered steak (rare) my fiancés was RAW. The salad bar could’ve been better, there was chopped bologna instead of ham! I remember waiting tables back in my day, it never looked like that. Plus, Our bill was $60 and some change. Oh and as i was typing this review, a young waitress decides to spray windex on the door and I watched the spray fall toward my fiancé food as he was eating. We was in the booth by the door! Well as I sit here eating in the restaurant I find it necessary to review. That being said the food is great what I had anyway, the service at first was not so great but improved quickly and the people are very friendly. NEEDS to have cheese, cottage cheese and pineapples on the salad bar, I don't use salad dressing and LOVE salad but without the above ingredients my salad was very bland and DRY😕! GREAT atmosphere, GREAT music, very clean and open style restaurant😆. Last and MOST important the southern sweet tea leaves a lot to be desired for a southern state it breaks my heart, I'm a sweet tea lover so when I leave here I'm going straight to McDonald's for my sweet tea fix. Tho a little pricey, I would eat here again and recommend to others. I'm such a slow eater I can only imagine what they are thinking😂 lol. Update 1/29/22 Brenda done an amazing job on service . Made sure our food was perfect and we was satisfied with service. Checked on us several times. Will definitely make sure she is there on out next return. So if you go request her she is so helpful and polite. Earns every dollar of her tip. Update: I love this restaurant miss Chloe. Our waitress was rude not helpful. She messed up our order caused us to eat half cold food because she wanted to ignore our request Of the dressings and bread that go with food. We told her exactly what we wanted when we ordered and left the side dressings off and took 15 mins to even get napkins. When we return we will make sure she is not out waitress again. Very disappointed.... Original review: Came back for second time. Fyi they close at 9. Chloe is an amazing waitress.
