So went eat at this establishment on 4/20 at around 8:30pm. This was a Friday night so it was basically the start of the weekend. First off, I had to sign in to wait approximately 15-20 minutes. After signing in I waited a little more than what they quoted but it was okay. After we got seated we were advised that our server was going to be right with us. After about 5-10 minutes of waiting our waiter came and took our order. It was me and someone else so we did the 2 for $35. Plus we was told that if we sign up for the Chili's reward club then we can get either a free chips and salsa or a free non-alcoholic beverage. After placing our order, it took about 10 minutes to bring the chips and salsa and the sodas we ordered. It then took another 20 minutes to bring our alcoholic beverages. So far it's been about an hour and we haven't even gotten our main course yet. Our margaritas were suppose to be placed in shakers, but because they were out we received them in tall martini glasses. There were some ladys who were also waiting to be seated while we were eating and was explaining to the hostess that there were tables ready to have people seated but they were not doing anything about it. At this same time our waiter came back and said that he lost the paper with our order on it so we had to say the order again because it was never placed when we first ordered it. After eating, I attempted to pay the bill. I asked our waiter to please bring me 2 to-go boxes and I was going to pay card and cash for the meal. The waiter did not bring the boxes until the food was paid and I was basically leaving out the door.
I believe that this business should have been better prepared for a Friday, whether it has been busy or not. If they would have more waiters, maybe less people would be upset about the service they have here. I have eaten at this establishment on many occasions and never dealt with something so unorganized. There were no table touches from managers to make sure everyone was doing good, and our waiter didn't check on us once the order was placed. I ran out of soda and was thirsty for my entire meal. I had to get our food server to bring me another drink. This place needs to seriously re-look at their staff or fire management and start over. I probably could have done a better job of being a waiter than most of their workers, hell I've done it for all my life anyway. Customers should never have to seat there wondering if they will be getting another drink or not. I dont know if I want to come back to this Chili's or not because I feel that they do not have anything organized and ready for busy days...
Read moreLast night in Lafayette my son ordered bacon ranch quesadillas - I can’t even describe the disappointment- I wish I had taken pictures- of both plates - the tortillas were pasty white and the chicken raw - he (so politely) asked for a replacement meal (after we waited 45 minutes for our food) so we all ate while he sat there for 30 additional minutes- they asked if we wanted a manger and we said no, no need just please either finish cooking these or make a plate that is done (not raw, chicken not pink…) a few minutes went by and a manager comes out with a server still carrying the plate of raw food around and says, in a very sarcastic tone, “So what is wrong with this food?” My son very calmly just said, “I don’t think it got done, you can see (he gestured toward the plate) even the tortillas look just like they came out of the bag and aren’t done, when I took a bite it was weird so I looked and the chicken is raw, it’s still pink.” The manager said, “So you want a new plate?” He said, “Well you can fix that or something but I just need it to be done.” She says snidely, “Oh I will make surrrrre it’s done I will have them make it well done.” I thought 💭 oh lord she’s going to burn the next batch… A server brought a plate out 30 minutes later, bless her heart , she was embarrassed to be carrying it and said, “You don’t want this do you?” We looked up and the quesadillas were burned, literally charred in places -😢 he worked Hurricane clean up in NOLA for 15-17 hrs everyday the past week and to be treated this way when we took an hour (which turned out 2) for a decent dinner was unacceptable- I rarely like to see someone lose their job, I try to give Grace and recognize that she (the manager, or even the cook) could be having a bad day but this was petty, incompetent, unprofessional, rude, and downright hateful. Do better Chili’s...
Read moreMy husband and I eat out regularly and have eaten at Chili"s an average of twice per month; just not Carencro location. Don't have high expectations and maybe you won't be disappointed. I gave this a one star only because the waiter was friendly and attentive. Otherwise, no star if that were an option. I decided on the steak fajitas. Menu showed 4 kinds, pork, steak, shrimp, chicken. You could choose more than one option; but since I just wanted steak, waiter said it would be double steak. I did ask for a little bit of extra onions, but got a ton of them with like 9 small strips of steak on top. I asked if that were a joke. The waiter even questioned it and called the manager over. He politely explained they receive the meat precut and measured and the amount was correct and that it probably looked less because of the extra onions. (Now he's insulting my intelligence) he said, I'm sorry. I said I would never make the mistake of ordering this again, as it was impossible this was "double" steak. He walked away. The man on the side of me ordered steak and pork and his portions of meat seemed appropriate, and definately more than mine.. Now for the icing on the cake; I was charged 2 dollars more for "double steak". Not that $2 is a lot, but it's the principal. Waiter offered to again go get the manager. I told him to please not, as to avoid a scene. I feel the manager should have gone out of his way to satisfy the customer; instead I felt dismissed. We will not return to this location EVER again. By the way; the fajitas...
