I was in line at a typical FF place and I wanted some fresh and hand made. I searched food and found this cafe. I walked in and the places was loaded with patrons. So I ordered to go. The proprietor was very polite and service oriented. Everyone seem to be having a great time and the people I spoke with raved about the home cooked made food. I ordered the Philly on the recommendation of two patrons and the owner. It didn’t miss. I especially enjoyed the toasted buttered bread. I would eat here again. Oh and they taped the container so the food would spill. Awesome!

Was in town for a meeting and decided to stop here for lunch. Nothing really spectacular about this place except for the rumor about their carrot cake, which I wasn't able to try. Pros: 1. Service was quick and friendly. 2. Food was hot. Cons: 1. I didn't like the way it smelled in here. 2. The Reuben and pasta salad lacked flavor. 3. Although quick and friendly, server didn't listen to what I wanted (sub pasta salad for chips). 4. Food was pricey for what was received. Overall, I would stop by again to grab a slice or two of the carrot cake.

I've known about this place since it opened, but for reasons unknown to even me, I had my first visit this week. Funky little joint with a welcoming staff, the food is an incredible bargain. Parking is "on the square" in Lafayette TN and is easily accessible. Don't wait - certainly not as long as I did- and visit Gibson's Cafe today!

So in 2021 we ate here and it was fantastic. Burgers were the most juiciest and flavorful that we've had. The service was top shelf. Today March 2023, we decided to stop in again for some amazing food. I ordered the Ruben sandwich and it was out of this world good, just as I would expect from Gibsons. We also ordered a cheese burger but unfortunately it was dry, over cooked and the cheese was put on it as an after thought. The cheese was not melted but more importantly, the burger was dry and had absolutely no flavor. We put a lot if salt and pepper on it so we could at least eat it but being dry, there was not much you can do with it. I ordered coffee as my drink but was told they had to make a new pot. Since it was close to lunch I do not believe many people would be ordering coffee. That being said, the coffee was not drinkable. It was like someone just ran water over used coffee grounds. It was so light, it was horrible. I asked for water so I could at least eat. The last mention is no one came to our table to check on drinks until we were done eating. I really needed more water long before this but since I had a taste of that dry cheeseburger, I asked for more water and immediately got it. I drank about half of that glass and we paid for our meal and left over a 20% tip because that is who we are. We were asked how everything was but my wife being who she is said it was fine and I being who I am just smiled and let it go. I had to write this review hoping that Gibsons will correct the cooking of their burgers and put in fresh coffee grounds no matter what time of day it is or get coffee that has a coffee flavor. Kudos on the Ruben, that was very good. Of course we paid from the dry cheese burger and undrinkable coffee because that's who we are. We may stop back in later in the year before we write them off because maybe someone was...

This place is quaint and has a nice atmosphere. The food is decent, but greatly over priced for what you get. My wife and I each got an omelet and a drink at a cost of $28. We got there at 9:30 and we were presented the breakfast menu. Then we were told we could only order "non complicated" items. What is that you ask? We weren't sure either. But I guess omelets aren't too complicated. Another couple came in just after us wanting breakfast and they were literally told if they wanted breakfast to go to McDonald's where they served breakfast all day. I'm not sure what role the lady behind the counter plays here ( the owner I think), but she is one of the rudest I've ever came across in the service industry. The guy, Miles was very hospitable though. We will never...

We came in based on reviews. The food is ok if you are starving and don’t have any type of discriminating palette. My son got the smash burger which was WAY over cooked. Should have known it was a problem when the server didn’t ask how he wants it cooked. I had the tuna melt but it was cold. Basically tuna salad with a slice of sorta melted cheese. Whatever oil they used to brown the bread left my gut hurting the rest of the day. And I thought they would have homemade chips and not just a bag of Lays. Atmosphere was ok and interesting to look at the stuff on the walls. Just don’t expect much if you come here. Also not sure why it shows 5 stars. Should be just one star for food. Two stars for service and three...
