If you are a looking for a place for ceremony only, this is not the place! I am not upset at the fact this place does not allow ceremony-only events. I am frustrated at how it was handled. There was a miscommunication in the emails; completely understandable. My fiancé and I get to River Oaks to see Le Pavillion. Keep in mind we were already sold from the pictures that Le Pavillion is the perfect ceremony space. Once meeting Megan, she was not the most enthusiastic coordinator. We begin walking towards the desired rental, when Megan begins to ask questions. That’s when I tell her I am only interested in a ceremony space, for we have already purchased our reception place. She then tells me “we don’t do ceremony only events,” and walks alway. My thing is, as a person who works in the sales industry, she could have been more informative or at least tried to reach out to the owner to make an exception, something! My wedding is on a Sunday night, Labor Day weekend. The likelihood of the venue being used is very slim. River Oaks could have made a smooth $400 off of a 1 hour event, but clearly she doesn’t know anything about business nor customer service! At the very minimum, she could have made a recommendation. I wouldn’t reccommend this place to anyone. That’s for sure! Way to make a bride’s planning experience for more miserable than it needed to be....
Read moreRiver Oaks is a wonderful place to host any event. I recently used them for my wedding and my coordinator was Ashley Love. From beginning to end, she was easy to work with and completely accommodating to my needs. All of the guests commented on how good the food tasted (iMonelli is the caterer) and we were able to have a taste testing before the event to sample the food. The Napoleon ballroom is the room we used and we had the wedding and reception in the same room. Staff were always available and pleasant to work with from serving, to moving chairs, to cleaning up spills. Everyone had a great time and I highly recommend River Oaks...
Read moreThe company I work for began using this facility in the last year or two. The facility is nice, however, they are completely clueless about food allergies and how to accommodate them. The person in charge of our Christmas party sounded annoyed when I called her to ask about food ingredients for our party. I am very disappointed, as gluten-free diets are becoming more common today. I find it hard to believe that a place where so many people attend events has no knowledge of food allergies and how to...
