O'Neals SmokeHouse is nothing short of a culinary gem! After a long day at work, indulging in their BBQ is like a soothing bubble bath for the soul. My experience here was truly remarkable. Located in Cassopolis, Michigan, this restaurant combines innovative flavors with a smoky goodness that leaves a lasting impression. I've tried a lot of BBQ in my time, but O'Neals deserves a James Beard now!

The food was simply out of this world—so good it's worth celebrating and to cry for! We savored the ribs, brisket, and a range of delightful sides. The vibe brought the warmth of the South right to Michigan, making us feel at home. There was a flavor journey with smoky, sweet, and savory notes, complemented by an irresistible aroma and great seasoning. I couldn't have been happier with the quality and preparation of the food.

The service at O'Neals was extraordinary! The staff took the time to thoroughly explain the menu, showcasing their pride and commitment to hospitality. Their teamwork was evident, seen as they worked together. Even though some items were sold out during our visit, the recommendation to come early to enjoy all their offerings only added to the authentic BBQ vibe.

The atmosphere was a vibe. The shirts, decor, and smoke in the air, the chalked menu, everything was well organized and inviting. Thank you for inviting the community and people who travel into your world of great BBQ!

Although it requires a bit of a drive for me, the journey is absolutely worth it. I've visited more than once, and each time reaffirms that this place never disappoints. If you're on the hunt for outstanding BBQ, look no further than O'Neals SmokeHouse—it’s definitely the spot to satisfy...

Edit: I stopped in Thursday 10/2/25 and Brandon stood by his word. He absolutely gave me the hook up with a healthy portion of his latest Honey Garlic Brisket burnt ends. These were so flavorful, tender and "melt in your mouth" moist. Who needs sauce when you create burnt ends this delicious. Things happen, and Brandon stood by his word to make it right. Much respect for his hard work. Give these Honey Garlic a try while you can get them❣️✌🏻😋

Burnt ends were usually tender, but today they were extremely tough and slightly larger than my previous order. The green beans were also extremely salty. Despite these issues, I will still support them because I suspect it was a busy day. We waited nearly 30 minutes for our order. Please note that the salad pictured is mine, not theirs.

Suggestions: Add some chicken quarters to the daily menu. People need clean protein...

First time trying the food here and will be back. I had the rib tips dinner with baked beans and green beans. The ribs were delicious and the sides were just as good. I love green beans and was not disappointed. Husband had the pulled pork dinner with Mac & cheese and baked beans. The mac & cheese was good but we thought it could of used a little seasoning but was still good. We also got the banana pudding and my husband is very particular about banana pudding but he really liked it. We would definitely come back we just wish they had fountain drinks. There is no seating inside so you can either eat outside at one of the tables or take it to go. The view is really nice as this is across the street...
