I used to love Subway. This location is the one I frequent most. I understand the messed up economic situation going on in this country, and a lot of businesses have suffered and I am sympathetic towards them in a lot of ways, but Subway has become a place I avoid. My husband and I used to go weekly and eat (mostly take out) but now we cringe at the thought of going. They are ALWAYS understaffed, never stocked with basic sandwich making ingredients, and you never know what hours they will be open day-to-day. My last visit, they literally had only white bread, only provolone or white American cheese, and NO NAPKINS. Every time I go they are out of at least 1 thing, but this time took the cake. The staff are lacking in the customer service with a smile department, but I don't really blame them looking at what they have to work with...or without. Anyways, I suggest calling ahead of time (if you can get an answer) and asking what they DO have and what hours they are running that specific day.
Update: I have returned since my first review and not much has changed. The staff was friendlier and the restaurant was clean, but they weren't stocked with basic sandwich making ingredients...again. this time "no cheese bread or salami" and they were very stingy with the napkins. I understand about our economical situations going on right now (somewhat), but their prices have seemed to have doubled (just like everywhere else), but I don't think I should be made to feel bad about asking for some extra...
Read moreThe customer service in this location is really bad. I was at this location today and had a very dissatisfying experience. The spinach looked as if it was not fresh and because I asked for the vegetable leaves from the bottom of the container, the employee became very rude and even stated If you gone be rude you need to leave." There was another customer present at the time. I explain that "I wasn't being rude and as the customer I have to ask for what I want" all while he literally threw the vegetables on the sandwich in a very improper manner. When I asked "can you place the tomatoes on the sandwich correctly so it will fold correctly," he sighed as if I was wrong. I explained to him that "I was not rude and as a paying customer I was merely asking for what I want." I asked if he wanted that camera pulled to see how he threw, literally threw, my sandwich together. He became quiet and finished the job. I paid and left. The employees at this location have been very rude to me on more than one occasion. Therefore, I will not patronize this subway...
Read moreFrustrating experience. After a location across town told me that they do not take call in orders, I went to the Roanoke road location to place an order. We were helping a family member move and she wanted to feed everyone helping. I explained to the lady taking my order that I needed 10 ft long subs just meat and cheese and that I’d like a tray with toppings. She informed the other lady working that I was needing 10 sandwiches and that lady told me that I couldn’t order 10 sandwiches that it needed to be a platter order and that 10 ft long subs would be over $100. I asked how much a platter would be and she told me $48. I said great, can I order that and she firmly said “no, we don’t have a manager here so we can’t do that.” There was no one in line behind me and was after the lunch rush. After being told I couldn’t order the platter or 10 ft long sandwiches, I walked out and drove to Jersey Mikes who gladly took the order of 10 sandwiches and collected the money that subway could have made. Way to miss out on a...
