Teriyaki Bistro — Restaurant in LaGrange

We used to go here all the time but tonight was regretfully the last time I will be going here. We walked in wondering if it was now a Mexican bar because the music was SO loud. We had to ask the lady at the register. We tried to sit down and eat but the customers at the large table in the middle were so loud they made that impossible. They also started started making fun of other nationalities in Spanish and that was the last straw. We tried to cancel our order but the food was ready so we took it to go. My husband told the lady that claimed to be the owner we would never be back and why. Once we got home, our order was wrong and the food was no where near the quality or portion size it used to be for the price so we knew for sure we made the right choice. So sad to see such a good place go so...

So I really hate writing this review because this resurant was my favorite place for sushi and bento. However, our last visit was horrible. First, the music was so loud it gave me a headache and made conversation impossible. Second, my party has two people in it. I got my food 12 or so mins before the other person got anything. She got her meal after I was almost finished with mine. The food was still very good but all of the other things made me never want to return. The chairs were falling apart, the bathroom door is broken, and I never got a single refill. If the food wasn't still very good I would have given this place 1 star. It was that bad. I hope it gets better but there are plenty of other sushi restaurants in LaGrange... so I will...

The only reason why this isn't getting 2 stars is because the Chicken Katsu was pretty good... but fried chicken cutlet isn't too hard to make. I got the Bento box... It was okay. Not typical, usually comes with 4 piece sushi but not here. The food was pretty bland and the salad wasn't even served with dressing, and the tempura veggies were chewy and cold in the middle. Just wasn't very impressed overall. I guess that's why I was the only one eating there aside from a few to-go orders. Additionally, the waitress was fairly young and was not too helpful. Fairly cheap, but nothing about this place makes me want to go again, unless I really wanted some...
