Cotten's Famous Hamburgers — Restaurant in Lake Charles

Let me start this review by saying that I am an easy to please person. Wife and I were in Lake Charles on business and not being that familiar with places to eat we searched goggle for places near to us. After reading the reviews, Cottons seemed to be an old fashion diner where a person could get an old fashioned home made style cheeseburger. I don't remember ever being more disappointed in a dining out experience. The service was terrible, we had to stand in line for over twenty minutes just to place our order, very limited seating available and when we were able to get a table we had to push the bags and drinks left by the previous patrons to the side and wipe down the table ourselves. The food was cold, and I do mean cold and greasy. If not for the taste of old, cold grease there wouldn't have been much of a taste at all. Several reviews bragged on the onion rings so I am going to include a picture of them. Notice how thin they are, I am not sure if there were any onions under the batter, and how greasy the bag is. Now to top all of the above off, we were treated to several grown men parading around showing off most of their underwater. Definitely not something you want to look at while eating. I don't think I need to say I will never patronize this establishment again nor would I recommend it to anyone. Beware of good reviews, I know I certainly will...

Love, the food will always go back but did not appreciate the customer service We're trying to make it order over the phone.. It's very disappointing especially whenever the time I called To make a order five minutes Befor they closed And the lady said no , sir , we can Not taking any orders.We close at two thirty and it was five minutes before closing Time Very disappointed in that service As if I even wanted a big order. All I was gonna ask for was 2 bacon, old-fashioned cheeseburgers. But I wasn't even asked what what I wanted to order. If I had my vehicle running and wasn't broke down as a senior citizen. I would have gladly Been able to get app there in a matter of time way before that would have closed a.k.a. Wasn't closed but said they wasn't take an orders very upset now. I have to actually walk on foot. To Find somewhere else to eat at close to their restaurant. Cotton's because I live right down the road and I wasn't even asked that. Neither, how close was I, how long would it take me to get there? Not all employees are like like this. But the one that did answer the phone. Talk to very dissatisfied. I call dad. Poor customer service on that employee that did answer. Not all all I gotta say is God bless her and I will be going and getting something from them as soon as they open back...

Tried to call Friday, July, 21, 2023 @ 1:35 pm before I got there to order my food but the lady that answered didn't know how much nothing was so by the time I got there my food wasn't ordered over the phone, well I drove up to the drive in window and no one was there so I was happy thinking I would just get my food faster since no one was in front of me in drive thru. So I hung up with the lady on the phone letting her know I was already there. Started ordering, a double cheeseburger with egg and small fries. Total $14 and some change. Oh my goodness, their prices are ridiculous. So my mom paid for that. Then I ordered the same burger but wanted my onions grilled with a small lemonade and guess what, they charged for grilled union had to pay $10 and some change for that, then guess what, I was told no lemonade after I paid for it, had me pull up to give me a Sprite. Bun wasn't hot at all. Burger was just put together and not freshly hot. Too high in price to not have it fresh. Couldn't even get to taste the good lemonade that I waited 3 years to do because I was in Georgia and just got back to Lake...
