Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Lake Charles

Went by this location today, Aug 22 2025. Looked at the drive through menu, saw the ghost pepper chicken sandwich and figured I'd try it. Sandwich was advertised at 7 dollars for just the sandwich, $11.xx for the reg combo, $13.xx for the large.

The drive through speaker is facing an interstate on ramp, and because of the traffic the employees seem to be unable to hear orders correctly. I asked for the large combo for this sandwich (#2 large combo with fries for both sides and a doctor pepper, word for word)

I instead recieved the sandwich, a "doctor pepper" that tasted like root beer, which wouldn't directly be the staff's fault, whatever drink machine their using likely has a single spout so flavors must be getting mixed, still, people know about that, it would be nice if the people making our drinks would take a moment to run whatever drink we ordered through the machine for a moment before actually filling the cup, but thats probably too much to ask for.

I also got a single Mac and cheese for my side instead of the (2) fries I asked for. Which is particularly irritating to me, because I dont eat mac n cheese.

When i called up to the store after getting home and discovering my order was essentially completely wrong, I was told the combo cost 13.xx because of the cheese and bacon that come on the sandwich, an upcharge that the menu does not mention, and that I rung up for a regular combo with mac n cheese. If I had been rung up for the actual large combo it wouldve been 15 dollars or so I assume since we apparently get uncharged for what is advertised on the sandwich normally.

I told the employee it was supposed to be a large order with fries, and just didn't get a response about it. Not even so much as a placating "sorry", no offer to fix the order, nothing. So after a short, curt, unapologetic conversation with whatever employee I spoke to, I hung up accepting the loss of 7 dollars for a side I wouldn't eat and a drink I didn't want in the wrong size.

I will never be returning to this location, which is a shame since I live 3 minutes from the place, but they clearly can't hear orders correctly due to the interstate proximity and they do NOT care about fixing mistakes or misunderstandings. I can only recommend no one else go to this location, and instead choose one of the other two locations in lake charles or one of the other several locally owned...

The night before we'd had some delicious chicken tenders and sandwiches in the family pack. When there was an episode in my kitchen and I couldn't cook the next day, we again got the family pack and once again the tenders were amazing however the sandwiches were awful. They were literally like rubber and we couldn't bite through them. I called and was told by the manager to bring back the sandwiches when I explained my reason for the call. It was already 8pm so I asked if my son could bring them back the next day to which she agreed saying," yes ma'am have him bring back all the sandwiches", which he did but then was given a hard time because he only brought back the sandwiches with the receipt, which is what she said to bring back and which was all that was left as they hadn't given us the fries that were to have been with the meal first off and secondly the tenders had already been eaten before we tried to eat the rubber chicken sandwiches which I had also told her. But we did get a refund and are, as yet, undecided about ever returning. I recommend giving them a try, but definitely check your food before leaving to make sure you have all you've paid for as well as being sure that...

So yesterday 4/16/25 I went into Popeyes on Enterprise FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A MONTH…..in my head I was like let me get ready for this waittttt cause it has always been long….but needless to say she SHOCKED AND PROVED ME WRONG!!!!!! I WALKED INTO THE STORE AT 12:35 pm yeah it was a few people ahead of me but it Dammmm Sure didn’t take long to get to the counter…….WHEN I SAY THE STORE WAS CLEAN……….WHOEVER THAT NEW MANAGER IS HE BE ON HIS JOB……..them 2 ladies was on point the one in the drive thru was getting orders out so fast I was like okkkkkkkkkkkkk I see y’all…….BUST I WANNA SPEAK ABOUT THAT BATTER MAN HE DOES HIS JOB WELL AND ALWAYS Hve fresh chicken up when I mention they good work to another customer that man said yes mam I been coming all week cause of this new crew they on it I just wanna appreciate y’all for the good work and GREAT SERVICE YALL ARE PROVIDING KEEP STRIVING GUYS…..WILL...
