Del Taco Corporate Office — Restaurant in Lake Forest

I went to this Del Taco food place 5-26-17 at: 1:25 pm, when I got up to the cashier to order some tacos, I couldn't help but notice, that the two female employees they had making the tacos and burritos, were making the tacos and burritos with their bare hands. I saw one of the employees sticking her whole hands into the Lettuce pan to grab a hand full of lettuce to put on some other customer's tacos. Seconds later, I saw the same female employee grab a tortilla and handle it with her bare hands to make a burritos. This looked very unsanitary, because she had very long finger nails involved in this food making process. After I witnessed this, I lost my entire appetite. I proceeded to tell the cashier and the store Manager, that allowing employees to make customer's food without wearing gloves is NASTY. I went on to say, that I don't want those employees back there on the food prep line, making any of my food without them wearing gloves, because I don't know them from a can of paint. The Manager said, that the food is OK, because those employees wash their hands. I replied, how good do she wash her hands, because if she doesn't wash her hand real good, then she is putting germs all in the food. Especially the lettuce and Tomatoes, that she putting her hands in bare handed. New review: Coupons in the app don't work both in the store & in the app, why have them at all? Disappointed & frustrating maybe this is part of why they are going downhill, I'm just saying, they should listen to their customers or they won't have any! Heading to their rival Taco Bell, they are more reliable & better food & customer service, thanks anyway! Good luck!

Update: I did finally get an email with the $10 bonus card, fingers crossed that it works. Shame I had to do a review to get contacted. Wasted my time & effort for a measley $10 that was previously owed to me. Changing stars from 1 to 2 though they don't even deserve that. Thanks but no thanks. I'll still go there sometimes as a last resort but not my fave anymore, gotta do better than this!

Previous review: I have contacted del Taco corporate office 4 times just this year & customer support said they'd expedite my request. Bought a $40 online e-gift card for their holiday promo to get a $10 bonus card, well the $10 bonus card was invalid & couldn't use at the store & it expired the end of January. Very bad business all around, seems like they don't care about their customers nor want to retain them. I like their rewards program but not management service at their corporate office. So I’ve had an extremely bad experience at the Del taco location in Modesto, California on Mitchell Road and Whitmore. I ordered chili deluxe fries I only received regular chili fries. I went back to correct the mistake that they had made and they did not want to fix my order they wanted me to pay extra in order to get the order right that they messed up, everyone in the establishment was cool except for the one Caucasian girl with blonde hair and blue eyes approximately 5 foot 4,5 foot five who had an extremely nasty attitude with me and refused to correct my order . She also refused to give me her name, refused to contact a manager, and also refused to give me a phone number to contact to correct this issue. She displayed a horrible sense of professionalism. My fries were missing tomatoes, onions, and sour cream. She looked me in my face and told me that she was not going to put that on my order without paying for it even if they messed up. The crew that’s on staff today I did not have a problem with except for this one girl her attitude was extremely nasty and I will never shop or buy any food from this Del taco again. I’m leaving this review because I could not get into direct contact with corporate today because it is Saturday. They will not be open until Monday and I will be following up then. I will also be back to this location to speak to the manager and get this young ladies name and information so I can pursue things properly. My opinion, she does not need...
