I have been in the service industry all my life. So I totally understand mistakes happen. As well as I understand how those mistakes should be handled. I am a vegetarian and ordered a vegetarian dish. My friend ordered a meat dish. The waitress, who didn't write down our order, places a large plate of meat and such in front of me. I inform her that's not what I ordered. She apologized and told the cook. My friend goes ahead and eats alone while I wait and wait and wait I watch other people get food before me. I asked the waitress when I was to be served. She makes excuses that their order was already in. In this industry, you pause other orders and make the mistake ON THE FLY to correct the problem and satisfy the customer. This was our FIRST visit there as well I cancelled my order. The waitress then cries her eyes out at the fact I cancelled my order and would not take it to go. The point of coming in was to EAT THERE with my friend. My friend at least said his food was good. Terrible first impression for me. Which is sad because breakfast sucks in this town and I was very hopeful for this place. If one order being sent bk, over her mistake, makes her cry, this industry is not for her. The cook even had the nerve to bring me the food in a Togo box and get upset that I didn't want it and said mistakes happen. Yea, your mistake for not making my food on the fly instead of your regulars at the bar...
Read moreIve heard so many good things about this new breakfast joint in LHC that I decided to give it a try. Boy, am I glad I did!! Great location for all, whether a local or just visiting, just a short walk to the channel. The establishment is all brand new inside and sports some beautiful neutral colors, has a cool wooden American flag feature and hand painted lighthouses located right here in LHC. I got the biscuits and gravy and was extremely pleased with the outcome. The gravy had something special in it that I loved! The flavors and consistency on both biscuit and gravy were on point. The eggs were fluffy and delicious... and the bacon!! It's that kind of bacon that's crispy, yet melts in your mouth. Added bonus to this place is that they have a small cocktail bar that looks like it's growing and they have a few local craft beers on tap as well as domestic bottles and such. I look forward to this being one of my go-to breakfast places and can't wait to try the next best thing on the menu!! Job well done to all involved with The Rotary...
Read moreFirst off, let me say that the food here is really good and the servers are very nice and apologetic. The real problem is you have to wait a long time to get your food as it appears there are more tables than at the previous location used to have and the kitchen staff just can't keep up. We waited for over an hour and a half for our breakfast this morning and that's just unacceptable. This place makes good stuff but Travis needs to get his s* together if he wants it to succeed in this new location. You have a serious problem getting the food out of the kitchen and we hope you can fix it. We all want to see you to succeed but this issue is paramount to success. Best wishes on getting...
