We were visiting from Las Vegas saw this place had stellar reviews so went for it. It was honestly a weird vibe it seemed they wanted to turn us away at first.. but then had a booth all of a sudden available. So we order. They brought the order out split there were 5 people in our party. So they brought out my sons wings, my friends wings and my sons girlfriends wrap. They didn’t bring the sauce and gave my son the wrong wings. My buddy asked a few times and they didn’t bring it out until they brought out my food and my last friends meal. It was a large gap of a wait to get the sauce… and it’s weird bringing out meals separately. My sons gf got a wrap it was all lettuce and barely any meat. Nobody at the table was satisfied with their meals with the exception of myself.. I had a burger with a Mac n cheese patty it was very good I just gave my son the other half. We were definitely ignored not sure if they thought we weren’t going to tip or something? It felt like I was a teenager again being waited on and even then I’ve always known how to tip. I’m from vegas trust me we tip nicely!!!! All the other establishments we frequented that weekend were very gracious with the tips we left. Maybe it’s a vegas culture we tip almost everywhere. Our server we saw when she took our order and brought the check. Took forever to hunt her back down.. it was really disappointing I’ll say don’t stereotype your consumers you never know how generous some of us with tattoos and darker skin are just as great with tipping. We never really saw the server on the floor either. The whole experience was terrible to be honest! My burger was amazing tho! I’ll say that. Still left her a nice tip even tho she didn’t do anything. Please try to welcome visitors from other states so then we can recommend for other friends visiting or even our next visit. I know we will not ever be back again. The atmosphere was given 2 stars because I was with my beautiful family.. so that made everything okay in my book. I am not one to complain on a vacation. So I just wrote it off but seriously wasn’t a...
Read moreTavern 95 is one of those places that just keeps getting better every time I go. Over the last two and a half years, I’ve been here around six times, and each visit has been better than the last. The food is consistently great—I’ve had their ribs, burgers, chicken strips, fries, black and tans, and fish and chips, and every single item has been cooked just right. Flavorful, hot, and satisfying.
I’m a guy who really likes his food, and the portion sizes here never leave me disappointed. Prices are fair, and the value is definitely there.
What I really appreciate is the location. It’s tucked away on the south side of town, a little off the main drag, which makes it feel like a hidden gem. It’s not overrun with tourists or traffic, and it’s absolutely worth the drive.
They’ve done a beautiful job remodeling the outdoor patio—it’s honestly one of the best spots in town to sit, relax, and enjoy a meal with a sunset view over the lake. I took my mom here for a late birthday dinner, and the whole experience was just peaceful and special.
The vibe inside is lively—it can get a bit loud at the bar, but it’s a bar, that’s part of the charm. The whole place is always clean and full of people who just seem to be in a good mood. That good energy really makes a difference.
I did try takeout once, and it wasn’t quite the same as dining in—the order was off and didn’t hit the mark—but honestly, it hasn’t stopped me from coming back. I just stick to eating there now, and it’s always been worth it.
Tavern 95 is easily one of my favorite spots in Lake Havasu, and I can’t wait to...
Read moreTavern 95, Barley Brothers, Shugues and the Javelina Cantina are all owned by the same people.
At some of these restaurants, our personal opinion is that they feel they are so established in Lake Havasu City that they do not really have to make too much effort.
And at some of these places, it shows. Javelina Cantina, Shugrues and Tavern 95 are totally hit or miss.
These three restaurants alone, we have either dined in or gotten take out from there over a hundred times over the years.
We have been ignored at both Javelina Cantina and Shugrues on occasion and at times received subpar food.
Other times, the food was exceptional as was the service.
The times we have drank at Tavern 95, we did enjoy our drinks (cocktails).
We will not be back to Tavern 95, however, as on one of the occasions, we received food with black plastic in it. We asked to speak to the manager. The guy that arrived to our table some time later was beyond insulting. He claimed they "do not serve food on black plastic. Nothing in the restaurant (contains) black plastic." We were floored. Three items on our plate alone, including a big serving dish were ALL black plastic. Insanity. Horrific customer service on his, and the...
