Big Al's Pizza — Restaurant in Lake Los Angeles

Worst customer service ever. Called tonight around 6:40pm and asked if they make the bean and cheese burrito anymore. They told me they never did. I actually ate one there 3 and 1/2 years ago- she starts arguing with me about how I'm wrong and puts me on hold to ask the owners son who claims I'm incorrect. It was the first place I ate when I moved to Lake LA. I remember it perfectly because that evening 3.5 years ago, the customer service sucked too. She goes on and on arguing with me forever stating that she even asked the owners son, then she brings up some guys name and says he only works at Little rock. I have no idea who the person she was referring to was. I think she thinks she is smart for talking quickly and talking over me at some pathetic pizza joint job. I called back to cancel my order and she put me on hold to finish with another customer. Then I hear her taking more and more calls while I'm holding forever so I guess they won't get the cancellation in time. Not my fault they have someone like that answering their calls. Pretty pathetic.

She called me back to see why I didn't pick up my order. I explained that I tried and that she left me hanging forever and she hung up on me. ...

On Sunday, the man cooking at 11am when I went in was very pleasant. I asked for Calzone slices. He said give him 15 minutes. When I came back they were perfect! Cheesy, filled with veggies and nice soft dough. The tall Hispanic lady that rung me up hooked me up with ranch, Parmesan cheese and pepper flakes. I was happy!! So now it’s Monday, I go back at noon for 4 calzone slices. This time there’s a lady in the kitchen cooking and a short Hispanic woman helping. She was going to give me a flimsy white box when I asked for a regular small pizza box. She said she would have to charge me for the box and then she asked if I wanted Parmesan I said yes, and she only gave me two packets. I asked for ranch she said she would have to charge me for the ranch and then she went on to tell me that I only had four slices of calzone in the box and then I didn’t need that much ranch or cheese. She totally ruined my appetite on the whole vibe. I got home to eat the calzone and there was no cheese in the calzone, and the crust was wet and runny on the bottom. Very disappointing. While the food has been great in the past , today it was sub par. We waited close to an hour and 20 min for our food. The service was why they get 2 stars!! Legit the women up front needed help and was told to figure out herself like what!? the manager/ owner should be making sure they have enough employees to cover busy shifts. The environment was very harsh with the guy in green lashing out as well which should never happen in any business! They also have no system to contact a customer if they dont have products or something goes wrong with an order ( this is why we had to wait an extra 45 minutes for our food! ) i asked for fries and was told the price instead of them comping them for the additional wait time. I paid for them got some bread sticks and honestly wont be back again the food has been great but the service today was just wow..... Also i work for a pizzeria myself and this was a owner/managerial fail at its finest! Phone #s should taken when an order is taken at least would have fixed several issues...
