Came here on Taco Tuesday this week & had a horrible experience from when we walked in. Super disappointing, because we love to support local businesses & tried to give them every opportunity to correct things left and right, and things just kept going down hill.
FOOD: the food was not good. The Philly tacos tasted like a bland fajita taco. Chicken and beef tacos had no flavor. Best thing we had was queso which was actually good!
SERVICE: table of 4, we all ordered tacos. 3/4 received our food in a decent amount of time. The 4th person didn’t receive their food till we all finished eating… by that time, we got our check and left. It was clear they forgot his enter his food order. Hard to do when we all ordered the same tacos and all on one check. She also forgot the guacamole we ordered & a beer, yet both were on our bill. The restaurant wasn’t even full, so not many visible excuses we could find on why the service was so bad. We watched another table get up and get the water pitcher to refill her tables waters because the server wasn’t getting to it. Half our table had no water either, even after asking… also had to ask for more chips 2x before we got any & our queso was cold by then.
EXPERIENCE: it was 85+ degrees outside with no AC and humid as heck in there. There was no fan or airflow going around us. We asked to have the fan turned on, only to be ignored. After other tables started complaining, they told us the fan above all of us didn’t get turned on “because the owner doesn’t want it to be”. They did open the garage door finally, which created necessarily air flow. The bartender who opened the garage door was rude to us about the fan and had an attitude because we asked.
OVERALL: super disappointed and won’t be back. Could’ve went many other places but chose here only to have the entire experience be rough. The point to going out to eat is to relax & enjoy the company of who you’re eating with. When the entire experience is spent begging for service, we should’ve went somewhere else. Not to mention, 1/4 left eating only queso and chips. Really don’t like giving bad reviews, but this place needs to take a hard look at how they’re running their business & I hope they...
Read moreThis used to be my favorite local place to eat. The atmosphere is fun, and the chips and salsa are great. However, my last 4 visits in the past 6 weeks have been horrible. I can no longer overlook the terrible service, subpar food, and watered down drinks. The hostesses, servers, and bartenders are unfriendly and inattentive. It’s frustrating to have to ask for refills of the basics, like water, chips, and salsa and have the waitstaff act annoyed. The cocktails are not good at all. I haven’t gotten a good drink in awhile, and I’m not one to complain about cocktails. It’s hard to mess up sangria or vodka sodas, unless it’s watery or has been sitting on the bar for 15 minutes because the server didn’t bring it to you. sigh. Tonight’s visit to Tipsy Taco will be my last for all of the above reasons. The service was the worst ever. The kitchen was completely backed up (I understand that happens), and the waitress stopped by the table to unapologetically say, “Did I tell you the kitchen is waaay behind, so it’s going to be quite awhile before you get your food.” Her attitude was awful, but the food (once it arrived) was worse. I’m not sure mine was even cooked all the way. We asked for boxes and left hungry. This place has potential, but the management needs to do some serious housecleaning to provide better service, quality food and drinks. Otherwise, I’m afraid another local restaurant will be closing...

We were so excited to try Tipsy Taco. The place looks awesome — great vibe, fun décor, definitely felt like it was about to be a good time. Spoiler alert: it was not.
The restaurant wasn’t even busy, which made it all the more confusing that everything took forever. We spent more time with empty cups than not. Water Refill? 10 mins. Soda we paid for? Even longer. And when the soda finally arrived, it somehow managed to be both flat and warm — like it come out of an old 2 liter.
As for the food… let’s just say if bland had a fan club, these tacos would be the president. We got the street corn carne asada tacos. They looked great, but the steak had zero flavor and the corn had all the personality of a wet paper towel. I paid extra for the cilantro lime crema, which came in a tiny cup and somehow tasted like less than plain sour cream. We each ate one taco, then boxed the rest to take home — not because we were full, but because we were hoping to introduce them to some actual seasoning later.
