Highly Flavored Chicago City Grill — Restaurant in Lake Township

I came not expecting much. Ordered Honey Fried Chicken with broccoli and fries. My friend had the Jamaican Jerk burger. They said 30 minutes. The staff were discussing a guest order who had waited for his food and arrived to pick it up but the young cashier had given part of his order away to the wrong guest. They informed the patron of the error and offered to remake it all fresh. He agreed they got to work. I really wasn't expecting much after that. When I got my food 47 minutes later. Got home sat to eat and that first bite I knew it was worth the wait and the price. The chicken was fresh and still hot not overcooked at all broccoli was just right not overcooked fries were not overly seasoned. It's take out only. The gentleman who took my order was very nice and answered all my questions. I ordered the fried rice with garlic butter salmon and the fried turkey wing dinner with alfredo mac and cheese and garlic potatoes. They pack the container with rice. You get more than enough for left overs. The rice is ok. There's a "yum-yum"sauce on the rice. The rice itself has too much soy sauce. Salmon was cooked well and had good flavor. The turkey wing was seasoned well, a bit salty. It wasn't very juicy, a little dry, but still edible. I like the mac and cheese. Not sure if it's the cheese in it or paprika that's overpowering, but still good. I didn't taste much alfredo. The potatoes are fried/roasted and tossed in a garlic sauce. They were a bit salty. This was my first time trying it after seeing a post about it via Instagram. I had the lambchop dinner, and it was amazing! The manager is really cool as well. He helps his staff, works with them, leads from the front, and make sure his staff and customers are alright. I've seen how he handled a situation first hand with an order that was messed up. He owned up to hit, thanked the customer, and hooked them up as well with their order. The food is good. It was made fresh in a timely manner, and again, the manager was cool as well.
