QS TIPS AND WINGS BBQ — Restaurant in Lake Township

Good afternoon world. Me and my sister wanted some good turkey tips and was told about Q”s tips and wings. We was already in Chicago so we went to the location that was about 3 miles away on 79th, only for us to get there and the restaurant was gone. 1st hiccup, I called and the rep that answered the phone said oh we been gone from there since May, we off of 147th, but they did not update the internet advising (location permanently closed). Ooook, we still said we going to go and support. My sister ordered 1st and asked what’s the size difference in small and large. The cashier SAID, it’s doesn’t matter if you order small or large they come in sane container. She ordered a turkey tip $19 and I ordered a turkey tip n link combo $22. Tell me why they put my turkey tips, bread, fries, and hot link in a fry boat. Sooo I had to gather my thoughts, but once I got back to the car, gave my sister her food in a STYROFOAM CONTAINER, I didn’t even get in the car. I immediately went back in establishment and asked for a refund. She asked why, and I said MAM, just holding the bag this is not worth $22. I REMIND y’all I never even opens the paper lunch bag they had my COMBO IN, because you open you bought it. So she refused to refund my money, I asked for owner she said owner was not available, she’s the supervisor, and not giving me my money. SAD!!!! So I go out to get my phone, and a lady says “is there a problem” I say yes there is..who are you? She says IM THE OWNER!!!! How about she was sitting in parking lot the entire time… this OWNER came out initially after we ordered our food!!! Like WOWWWW!!!! I advised I want my money back, she said we don’t give cash refunds!!!! ITS POSTED NOWHERE IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT “NO CASH REFUNDS”!!! She said it’s on the receipt!!!! Just so happen a officer pulled in parking lot and bagged in while I was talking to this OWNER!!! I politely went over n advised of situation. While I’m talking to the officer, the OWNER IS YELLING MY NAME ACROSS THE PARKING LOT holding up a receipt and my $22. By now the officer gets out n walks over with me. THE OWNER SAYS, Charlene I just wanna let you know you ordered a MINI TIP N LINK!!!!! So with that being said!!!! THATS WHAT THEY CHOOSE TO GIVE ME, because that’s NOT WHAT I PAID FOR!!!! Y’all clearly see my receipt says SM TURKEY TIP N LINK COMBO, and y’all see what size boat it came in. SAD, because clearly they are false advertising prices, not giving the customer what they PAID FOR, andddddd the DINNERS OR COMBOS DONT COMD WITH COLE SLAW!!!! NOWWWWW WHAT BBQ PLACE NOT GIVING COLE SLAW!!! Looks like it’s a shortage, if food, containers, cabbage, and PROFESSIONALISM N HONESTY!!!! If your employee has called you with an issue, and you sitting in parking lot… THAT MEANS YOU INTRODUCE YOURSELF AS SUCH!!!! That’s what we get for trying to support!!!! I give this whole ORDEAL NO STARS, but in order to post a review you have to at least push 1 star!!!! A little tip OWNER OF Q”s you have to give your customer what you advertise n what they pay for!!! Not what your INVENTORY IS LOOKING LIKE!!!!! Here’s goes the container n my receipt… since I ordered a mini tip n link combo!!! Look at the receipt, “they only go make the EXACT ITEM, if a customer is RETURNING THE FOOD, 9x out of 10 they don’t want NOTHING, but they money!!!! You want your food back, but the customer can’t have they...

Food: Was a 5 star i had the chicken and tips, but the chicken had a flavor own it's on that was good and with the sauces. The tips was tender now if they can keep this up then they will be around for a long time.

Service: it was a call in and pickup and the server was they polite over the phone and reassuring the best which makes it that much more to try them. After getting there she was even nicer in person walk me around the place, which is also a eat in.

Atmosphere: The eat in place was nice with a pleasant vibe on if you not in a rush have a seat, and they not nailed to the ground 😉.

Only had one con to and it was the food tax. But it was forgiven once I ate 🤣🤣🤣 .

I rarely come back to a review and edit from the first time there, but I own it my followers and readers it 7/03/2025.

Very disappointed at the transaction and portion had changed DRASTICALLY from about 3months ago $dollars for a tip and link combo with have the size of the container i had my first visit.

Especially when you put the fries in there with the food makes it less food and more fries fore $27 and the container is smaller. IF YOU DON'T SELL COMBO PLEASE TELL YOUR CUSTOMERS AT THE TIME OF ORDERING...because then they pay for tips and links separately, then it SHOULD BE 2 SEPARATE ORDERS WITH BOTH HAVING FRIES AND NOT ONE ORDER IN THE SAME CONTAINER. So people please beware of this when order combos that isn't on the menu and they ring it up like they do sell them and give you a half container box. See my second picture from the first time....$27 and container size isn't the correct food...

The Food here is Good! But. I did have to Complain a few times about My food having tasted like it been sitting for a while and, very Dry. But on Two of the Times I was there Less than an hour after they had Opened up. Now When I complained The wife did Replace My Order Without an Problem. But unfortunately I did have to complain more than Once and, So when I finally had time to pick up My Replacement Order. The Second time I dealt with The Husband. He Obviously had a problem with Me Complaining without Saying and, He had the Audacity to Replace My order with Eight pieces of Rib Tips. So they also have this program Whereas when you spend a Certain amount of money with them. You supposedly get a Free Order So about a hour later after My Replacement order. Since other than Him giving Me the 8 Rib Tips The food itself was good. So when I went to Redeem and, get My Free Order from there. I Choose Rib Tips again and, He The Husband did Me The same way. Gave Me 8 Rib Tips so I told Myself then that I was done going there. Plus I also wounded up with Not fully done on the Replacement Order from Him. I'm sure He think he played Me. Because I Complained about My food. But here's what I tell People. I'm not asking for Nothing, But My Food To Be Right! That's...
