Twisted Shamrock Pub — Restaurant in Lake Township

This is a great Irish Pub near Midway. A mix of locals and Airport, hotel and local businesses frequent the place. It was completely gutted and remodeled in the last 10 years including an elevator to take you to the second floor Party Room. It has a full bar, 3 TV's, fireplace and additional tables made to order. Great atmosphere, live music many weekends. It's the law. An yes there's usually a doorman, who makes sure that All patrons are safe and drink responsibly. I seen some of the negative reviews on here and can assure you, three IDs are required for all establishments that serve alcohol. As for minorities comments, today I sat with a Hispanic man, there were 2 women and a man of African decent. All were treated the same as everyone else. The bar was okay looking. The more I went to the twisted shamrock the more I realized they were kind of more rude to me and my partner than they were to anyone else. And I thought it was maybe just the bartender, but after the 3rd time there I realized it was because we were the only people there that weren't white. And we played a song on touchtunes that was half in spanish and half in english and they pretty much turned the music down because it wasn't all in english (it was in english and Spanish) and told us they were closing an hour before they closed, while all their friends...

If you're a person of color STAY AWAY! Bartender completely left the bar for ten minutes when we sat down. It was obvious he didn't want to serve my partner and me. He was gone for exactly 12 minutes before returning and serving two other people what appeared to be their third rounds. He finally walked down to our end of the bar after I waved frantically. Rather than say hi or what can I get for you, he immediately (and rudely) says, "IDs". After seeing that we're both well over 21 he makes our drinks and they're honestly mediocre at best.
