Be sure to check the very last part for the worst thing that I've experienced here. When trying to order the service member here (at the drive thru) was so unbelievably rude that I actually left.
The very next time that I went, a manager was behind the register and greeted me. When I came up to order (after waiting about 5 minutes behind an indecisive older couple) she seemed to acknowledge my order but was reading coupons and putting in an order that was not mine. I waited quietly, patiently for about 50 seconds without her even saying a word. Then, the register next to me opened and the service member asked for the next in line. Obviously, I was not being attended to here so I decided to move over and put in my order. No sooner had I done this and the manager pointed at me without looking into my face and barked, "You wanted what?" I was enraged at this attitude. However, I calmly stated my order again and she finally put it in. Once I received my food and drink, I realized that the coffee didn't taste like there was extra cream or sugar. By now I was on the road again and could not return. It wasn't until the very last 3 sips that I tasted sugar or cream. It was one of the worst cups of coffee I've ever had. Ignorantly I returned soon after this expecting the nice service that I had received 20-30% of the times that I have visited. No. Again, this manager was taking orders, and again, she made my coffee with the cream and sugar sent straight to the bottom. I had to run, without time for stirrers... never before have I seen a more incompetent group of employees. This is coming from someone who has first-hand experience in the quick service food industry (on the front line) by the way! Here's the worst: I found a piece of plastic about 2 inches long and 1/2 inch wide right in between my egg and ham on a bagel. I'm not one to sue, but there are some people who could have taken this very far. McDonald's on W Central Ave in Lake Wales, FL is consistently the worst that I have seen in my...
Read moreNo greeting at the drive-thru sat there and read the menu for a few minutes still no one acknowledged I was there. Said Hello a couple of times. No answer. Thought to myself are they closed? Having a meeting? Maybe the speaker was not working? So I pulled up to first window, but no one was there. Pull to 2nd window, a young lady with a headset on standing in front of the drink machine, another close to the Frappe machine. So I wave, no response. So I honk my car horn lightly. She opens the window, I ask are you open? She nods. I asked if someone working the drive-thru no one answered me when I was at the menu speaker. She immediately made a hold-on gesture and walked off closing the window. Sat there another couple of minutes. No one came back to take my order. By this time I'm upset. I lay on my car horn a young lady in an orange shirt walks over. I again as k are you open? Yes ok I explain I've been waiting and no-one has taken my order. She says the lady went to the restroom and didn't advise she was doing so. She was polite, took my order and went to make it. I wish I would of gotten her name She did the right thing. I give her a five star for service but for the others 1 star. After all that a lady in a manager shirt came up to ask if my order. I told her and she said oh ok then the hotcakes aren't for you. I could hear someone speaking in the back saying "she wasn't there for 5 minutes!" đ Um lady yes I was my dashcam and car clock keep really good track of time. If she was the manager. She should have apologized for the delay in service. Don't just walk off like the first girl did.( your youth is not an excuse for ignorance especially since you are employed in serving people) I hope the one who left her post learns to advise she is leaving her post and that they all learn better service skills. Like I mentioned earlier the young lady in orange get full points from me. Today is May 28th 2025 so everyone working there knows who they...
Read moreGot an ICE latte, it was hot no ice. A large Dr Pepper with EXTRA ICE and it barley had ice, and a small caramel frappe which was melting super quickly with barely any caramel or whip cream on top. And the lady at the drive thru window didn't smile didn't say good morning how are you nothing she stood there with this hateful look and said not one word and stared at us like we were ruining her entire morning. This particular McDonald's is always like this. We barely come here because of this. I don't recommend any thing at this place especially the atmosphere. We did dine in once and the employees were rude and not at all welcoming. If this place shut down I would not even notice. The only reason we came here is because it is closer to what we had to do. I prefer the McDonald's on 60 they don't have the best service either but better than this one much better than this one. I hope either something changes here or they close this restaurant entirely. I noticed people talk about how few people are inside, look at the reviews, that's why. Something seriously needs to be done here. Something needs to change. I hardly come here and it's never a good...
