Dreamery Creamery — Restaurant in Lake Wylie

We stopped in just over 30 minutes before close and didn’t feel like we were rushed to leave when we stayed there to eat our Ice Cream.

I had a milkshake which was pretty good, and my wife had the Apple Pie Sunday which was overflowing with pie filling, caramel, and whipped cream (not a bad thing!). The ice cream is on the pricier side, however, you definitely get a lot when it comes to their Sundays.

The atmosphere was pretty neat as well. All of the decor was retro themed and so was the music that they played.

The only reason they don’t get a 5 star rating is their menu can be a little bit confusing with their Sundays and takes a good bit of reading to figure out what they have. Their menu boards also only show the Sundays, which means if you want any shakes or scoops you have to wait until you get to the counter to read the flavors they have. Also, the whole waiting until they bring your ice cream out to have you sign your receipt definitely gives the impression they are heavily focused on the tip.

Normally have great service. Today was the extreme exception. My wife and I walked in. Stood in line behind another lady. Stood there 10 mins and no one even a knowledged anyone was waiting. I overhead one emoyee speaking with the owner trying to give one customer a refund. She told the owner the customer was rude and she was going to kick her out. In reality the customer waited a long time for her ice cream. I knew after hearing that coupled with the fact I had been there now over 10 mins and never acknowledged, it was time to simply leave without ordering. Stopped in about 30 minutes to closing. They had run out of a couple items and their list isn't easily explainable. However, a waffle cone with strawberry cheesecake ice cream hit the spot. The Sunday my wife got was also good and we probably could have gotten away with just the sundae between the two of us. They are in a hard spot to see and their entrance is very restrictive. Also plan on them asking you to hold off signing your receipt, this is a ploy for a tip. Should probably have a tip jar instead.
