Surprisingly good restaurant in the middle Lucerne. The Carnitas plate was delicious and the Agua de Melon was refreshing and made with real melon. The beans were da bomb. Loved them.

Went there today for a burrito to take home. The woman behind the counter didnt appear to be very friendly. While waiting for the order, I noticed on how all of the windows were covered three quarters up with promotions of what they made from the menu. If you sat at any of the tables you would not be able to look outside and the interior was kinda dark without light. The bottom frames of two of the windows facing their parking lot had quite a few dead flies and bugs. One window had a mid size bug dead on its back. Disgusting. The fans on the ceiling were dirty and looked corroded around the motor. Halfway through the burrito, I bit into something that almost broke my molar, and it turned out to be a small jagged rock! The burrito tasted flat with hardly any guacamole and sour cream inside could they spare it? Won't go...

Absolutely the worst..Chili relleno wasnt cooked through, still had vein and was stringy, the cheese inside was a cold wad of who knows what. The beans looked like pale pintos boiled with navy..almost white in color, very salty and soupy. My husbands rice was iced cold, tamales were not cooked in the husk,it was obviously added around a very doughy pack of some sort of shredded meat..about a large tablespoon of meat. It was totally over seasoned with paprika/chili powder. This is the second time I tried dinners and it will never happen again. I have had a lifetime of eating Mexican cuisine from San Francisco, Santa Maria, San Jose all the way to Olivera Street in Los Angeles. Just for the hell of it, I would be proud to put my rellenos up against theirs anytime, at least I wont choke on hard tough...

When this place first opened up in our town it was really neat good Mexican food at reasonable prices it wasn't really great food but it was good and it was hot and the beer was cold. Now adding to that when the covid hit they were experiencing problems in the kitchen I don't know what happened with the cook but he lost his mojo it went from tasting pretty good to just plain lousy the food was cold and indifferent and we stopped going there and maybe instead of going every week or once a week we would go every 3 weeks and try it to no avail it was still lousy and cold and that's really a bummer because they had something going there maybe after the covid will give it another try and see what happens lots of...
