Not a great first time experience at Maggies today. Arrived around 1pm and sat in the upstairs bar. There were maybe 6 or 7 other patrons in the bar area so not at all crowded. My dining companion and I order a beer and we peruse the menu. I decide on a vegetable pizza and my friend orders a calzone with grilled chicken. So long story short, 30 minutes later and no food in sight. We say nothing. After another 15 minutes passes out comes my pizza but still no calzone for my friend. The bartender drops off my pizza and walks away and says nothing about the calzone. Another 10 minutes passes, you would think by now the bartender would get a clue and try to be a little proactive. No such luck. We call the bartender over and question on the status of the calzone. He goes in the back and comes out a few minutes later and tells us they ran out of grilled chicken and had to grill more. Really? You couldn't have told us this when we ordered? You wait an hour to tell us you ran out of something? And you really want us to believe it takes an hour to grill a piece of lousy chicken? To sum up, i shared my pizza with my friend as I felt bad eating in front of him. At this point we were going to be late for an appointment so we tell the bartender to just wrap the calzone to go. It was well over an hour from time of order until the calzone finally arrived. We paid the bill and left. The bartender did comp us a beer each but really, we would have rather had the food. Obviously the kitchen here needs some serious help. Clearly they don't know what they're doing. Hello management? Are you listening? Do you even care? And by the way, my pizza was soggy and not at all hot. Clearly it was sitting around in back under a heat lamp for extended period of time. I would not come back here based on today's experience. Abysmal. 7/10/18 Update: I appreciate management's response. Clearly you do care and I might actually give Maggie's another chance to make it right. However, I refuse to deal with that incompetent bartender again. Let's hope that minimally, someone in a position of authority had a strong discussion with him regarding the events...
Read moreI messaged them on July 12th about this and didn’t receive a response, so I’m posting it here. Extremely disappointed in the service tonight. Waited over an hour for half our order (sushi only) other food didn’t come out. We asked about it, she said she was going to check on it, and then someone else came and retook the order. We canceled the order, and were comped a beer that we didn’t drink because we were leaving.
I’m assuming the person who retook the manager was a manager, but she didn’t introduce herself as such, and she didn’t ask what she could do to make it right.
As a chef, I understand that the kitchen can get in the weeds, and mistakes will happen. But to not try to rectify the situation is mind boggling to me. To charge full price on half an order when you know customers were dissatisfied is either someone not caring, poor training, or just terrible customer service.

Read moreOverall, the Maggie's experience was terrible. We went to eat outside (group of 4) and to start off the table was extremely dirty. My brother and I ordered the burger challenge (don't remember the name) and I believe it consisted of two 5-oz burgers that you had to finish and you would receive a t-shirt. The burgers were disgustingly greasy and had no flavor. After we finish the burgers we asked about the shirts and then they inform us that they didn't have any. They said they were getting a t-shirt shipment next week and said they would call us (never got the call). It seemed as if they had no intention in giving this shirt because they would've told us at the beginning. On top of all this, my mother's food never made it to the table and didn't arrive until we all finished our food. So, she had to take it in a plastic to-go container and eat it in the car.
