It was a long, turbulent, 5 hour ride back from Lihue. I stepped off the plane, fired up the trusty 341,450 battle Camry and gazed patiently at the digital clock placed directly above the tape player as the car warmed up for the very last 56 mile remainder of this portion of thjs 2,400 mile expedition. 2:44pm it ticked. Zonds...too late for lunch, too early for dinner. Traffic snarled the 405 as I snake south from LAX on a numeral version of alphabet soup with Waze leading the uh, way. 105, 110, 91, 605, 22, 55, 5... The shortcut doesn't appear to help and now I'm parched. I need something to hold me over till supper. I turn down the AM radio.. "okay google...find me a boba shop" "Graeme, you have 36 selections in your vicinity, which would you like?" "Okay Google, find me GOOD boba shop" "proceed three quarter miles to Bobuzz, Graeme" I pull out of the slow lane and into the turn off and park right outside a clean, efficient store. Looking at the menu it's clear these guys are serious about their Liquid Potations. They got about a select few specialities and insist to me I'd love em all. I select the PMC which contains strawberries peaches and Mango I believe. It's just the right consistency, sweetness and mixtures of flavors. A chat with the staff reveals the shop is newly opened. A mural on the wall tells me the shops heartbeat is in tune with the local community. Will I come back? You bet I will. This convenient location is perfect and the prices are on point. Certainly a unique boba experience and a memorable one! Now I it's the hoke stretch. Battle camry starts back up reliably and I have 20 miles left to go, happy as anything sipping my drink which is the perfect carryover for me. They say the Buzz is in the cup but it's out there now! ...
Read moreWe recently ordered two boba drinks from Bobuzz, including their signature “PMC” with boba and “The Dark White.” While the overall flavor of the drinks was comparable to other quality boba shops, the tapioca pearls (“boba”) were unfortunately undercooked, which detracted from the experience. Additionally, offering customers the option to customize the sweetness level would be a welcome improvement. While there is potential, the overall experience left us with mixed feelings. Personally, it wouldn’t be my first choice for a dessert stop after a pleasant meal, at least...
Read moreIt’s kind of a small boba place. Looks like it just opened. Very fast service from ordering to waiting for your drink. I had the PMC drink as recommended by the lady. It’s not as super sweet as a I thought it would have been because of the description but overall very good. I loved the rainbow jelly I got as well. Only thing was the strawberry purée was a little tart but after swirling it a bit it...
