My husband had been here for breakfast and loved it. We were near there and the great reviews, along with his, made me want to try it too. I ordered the veggie burrito which according to the menu has beans, onions, bell pepper, zucchini and carrots. I expected a veggie feast.
The burrito was 95% beans with a tiny bit of bell pepper and onion mixed in, no carrot or zucchini what so ever. I am quite sure this is not a menu item they sell much of, so maybe those unincluded items were not readily available, but they are also listed on the menu in the veggie omelet.
When we went to leave I boxed up more half my order, and I told the waitress I was disappointed because it was not as described on the menu. I told her I hadn't wanted just a bean burrito (which was $3 cheaper). She offered nothing so I said I will know better next time (than to come here).
The staff was nice, and the place was clean. It wasn't busy at all but for a few bar patrons. I am usually a very easy to please person, and my reviews are generally very positive. This was a big disappointment.
I'm sure if I had ordered a more popular item it would probably have been better. If they don't want to serve an item as listed on the menu though, they should take it off the menu. I do think the waitress should have offered something, not necessarily the item free but offered something else. There is no excuse for what was served to me given what I...
Read moreI’ve been here a handful of times and it smells like sewage and they are committing fraud on their drinks. Their house margaritas are ‘on tap’. Meaning they come out of the soda gun. So I’ve been ordering the Cadillac margarita that is supposed to have Don Julio or another tequila of your choice and topped with grand marnier in it or on the side for approximately $18 for a small. I just watched the bartender use triple sec and Montuzuma blanco tequila to make me my top shelf margarita. I walked out. I’m making a report to the health department and the state liquor board. I’m tired of being ripped off by restaurants. After reading the condescending response from this restaurant, I’m sure it will be only a matter of time before this subpar ‘restaurant’ goes out of business, as the food is mediocre and the entire place smells like raw sewage. I routinely see workers bring in food that is canned from Sam’s club such as beans and sauces. So none of the food there is authentic. The queso is store brand processed cheese and salsa from a jar. Tortillas and chips are store bought. And they are switching out low cost liquor and branding and charging, for ‘top shelf’ drinks at $18 per drink. Don’t buy into the hype. This ‘establishment’ needs to be run out of town. I recommend El Tapitio in Golden on the hill. Very clean, very good affordable...
Read moreWe were recovering from the flu and decided to order take out. The reviews for this restaurant were 4.8, so we ordered two meals to go. A combination and a green chile meal. It was ready when i arrived, paid and tipped 18%. Got home opened the meals and found the meal, salad beans were all combined together. Ok, so the green chili pork was mostly pork fat, which did not even look or taste good. My combo meal #3 was also in a heap and was not tasty at all, so both meals went into the trash instead of having leftovers for the next night. We love Mexican but how this place rated a 4.8 had to be every relative in the Denver area giving it a 5 star rating. Worst 36 bucks ever spent on food for the garbage can. Taco Bell would have been a better option. Your response that our flu affected how your food tasted is flawed. It was bad. Just take responsibility for your food. Here is a suggestion try tasting your food before serving it. Or better yet eat at your competition Mexican restaurants and see the difference for yourself. Don’t push a negative review back on the customer you...
