India Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Lakewood

Me and my wife were in the Lakewood area and we were craving Indian food. After doing some googling we found India Garden and saw that it had pretty decent reviews so me and my wife thought of checking it out. We ordered the same thing we always order which butter chicken with garlic naan, chicken biryani and chilli chicken and we had no clue what to make expect coz we were there for the first time. We didn't have to wait that long before we got our food, the service was pretty quick. As soon as we took our first bites we knew this is exactly what we were craving. I cannot believe how inedible the tikka masala was. I don't have a tender mouth and can typically handle medium spicy, but since this was my first time eating at India garden I decided to order my first dish at the lowest spice level they offer.

I got home, I couldn't wait to dish up because it all smelled AMAZING. I pulled the lid off the cup of masala and took a big dip with the naan. Instantly my mouth was on fire, like panic chugging milk spicy so I tried to put only a small amount of the liquid over way too much rice and even then I couldn't eat it.

I wish I could have enjoyed it the way I love enjoying Indian food, but this place is way too hot, or maybe I was being punished for ordering a...

New owners have taken over but after 20 years of coming to this restaurant a change has come and it’s Absolutely amazing same old Burkie great taste and flavors and a new India cuisine that’s filled with flavors and perfect spice. Staff are beyond generous and caring for their customers and make you feel like family coming to eat here. This is a much healthier option the most places here in Lakewood. Large portions for the price but worth every single bite. I highly recommend you come here for lunch or any time there open if your military and love Indian food come here to get the best flavor taste and fresh quality for the price 5 stars will come back many times...
