First time customer moved to Golden from Broomfield awhile back never been. So good. Great Price. Celiac friendly and the best experience I've ever had with a Mexican restaurant. Here's a long story because of how many good things I have to say. So management/GM please read. I have celiac disease so I'm allergic to gluten which makes it very hard to eat out even though things are gluten-free they get cross-contaminated with things that aren't which so happens to get me and only 1% of the rest of the population sick. So I called ahead before the order I put through Postmates to ask if anything was safe and the lady who answered, Elysa which if I'm not mistaken took my call during a rush from the sounds of it in the backround, was SO KIND helpful and knowledgeable about every single thing. I called twice too because I forgot to ask about the queso. I recieve the food, which was bomb for price and for delivery, but what really made the whole thing was a personal note written by Elysa (see pictures in my review) which was absolutely her going out of her way to assure me she AND the cooks did absolutely everything they could to prevent cross contamination of my food which they seriously have no idea how much that means to me. Eating is almost always a nightmare for me, always and it's been a rough week so this absolutely made my day. I will be back again and again. Elysa deserves praise and a raise. Her customer service and knowledge of menu along with allergens, celiac disease and cross contamination is EXTRAORDINARY. Thank you everyone at Moose Hill today....y'all are friggin awesome. taker easy 🤙

Super friendly place. Very reasonable prices. Moose milk is so heavenly.... I had the "world famous" chili rellenos. Boy were they good. I recommend crispy. Loaded with gooey, yummy cheese and fried crispy. Topped with a respectable green chili. My friend had the street tacos. Now, I believe all street tacos should be carnitas, but she ordered anything but carnitas. I was floored my the bite of chicken mole she shared. They actually know how to make authentic mole here. And they have skinny margaritas! For dessert, I was shocked when the sopapilla came out the size of a dinner plate, so plan to share. Topped with cinnamon sugar and a supplied bottle of honey. Who doesn't like fried bread? Yum. I love that they didn't ruin it with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. The best part of eating here (besides respectable Mexican food with generous portions and reasonably priced) was the story of the young owner. It's posted on the front wall and makes you believe you can do anything! Cheers! PS all alcoholic bevs are comped with a "moose" milk chaser. I think it had a bit of alcohol and it was sweet and yummy.

Coming to Denver for a couple of days of meetings, I was in the mood for sam. Great Mexican food. The reviews I read and my meeting location brought me the Moose Hill Cantina for lunch. It was mid-afternoon, so pretty quiet, and the service was very fast and very friendly. It seems that, since I live in Florida, it's hard to find green chili on the menu in many Mexican restaurants where I live. So, I ordered the green chili enchiladas. They were, well, okay. In my view, they used way too much cheese, and the flavor was just so so. I truly appreciate it. They're offering of chips and salsa and condiments upon arrival. The pico de gallo is homemade, and it is excellent. I will definitely give this place a second chance next time I'm in the neighborhood. Again, the service in the atmosphere was terrific!

Well the owners response to this review is baffling & full of lies; extremely disrespectful & anything far from professional. This review has been edited to add the following message (with the original in quotations at the bottom): 1st - I was not told an estimated delivery time nor shown any info in that regard 2nd - I never stood behind the register, nor did I call you any of those alleged names. 3rd - I only had 1 order to pickup (3 drinks) 4th - the swift & harsh reply assuming the wrong person shows that this ownership group clearly has a disdain for delivery drivers.

And I know for a fact that the order was not prepared or even stated upon arrival because the employee (male) that asked me about the order also told me he needed to prepare it.

Give out better service if you’d like more than 1 star. Plain & simple. Don’t lie about somebody’s actions trying to embarrass & discredit them when you’ve become upset about a review on your performance. I will not be reaching out offline as I doubt you (the owner) would behave in a professional capacity. A simple professional response would’ve sufficed, rather than an attack on delivery drivers because you do not like them. I am sorry your business is failing but a few bad reviews are nobody’s fault but your own.

100% suggest people avoid this place for dine in & delivery. The wait times are absurd 🤣

“It’s super disrespectful to delivery drivers to refuse to make an order until they arrive. Effectively forcing not only the driver, but the customer to wait longer in the process. I had an order for 3 boba drinks. Took me 10 minutes to get here - and another 15 waiting! Taking nearly 30 minutes to make an order of drinks is terrible ticket time & customer service. Just adds to the somewhat bad reputation this place already has with delivery drivers. Please don’t waste our time because you don’t want to make an order immediately; it quite literally...

My husband's work sent him lunch one day from this place and he LOVED IT, and I've also been referred here so we tried it together for dinner. Place was jamming on a Thursday night, but we did take out and we live close by. The host was less than pleasant, and a waitress ended up greeting me and she was fantastic! She went back to check on the food and said it would be right out. The host comes back and checks on my food and another guy who came on after, and helps him first before me even though I was there first - I point this out because our food was COLD. Not warm, cold. When my husband had his delivered, it was still piping hot and he loved it, so that tells me it was just sitting there for who knows how long. I tipped in cash and the host didn't even thank me. The flavor was there but the temp and customer service was severely lacking. We may give this place another try because like I said, flavor was there for sure. If we do try again I'll revisit my review!

UPDATE - we did go back! We ate there, on their patio, on a Sunday afternoon. Sadly, it did not impress so the two stars will remain. The waitress was super friendly but she absolutely kept forgetting about us, and then when she came out with some of our items she spent a good 10 minutes talking to another table about personal things before they left and then she came over with said items and apologized becsuse shes "so busy" (it was PRETTY slow for a sunday afternoon). The food really wasn't that great, either. The steak tacos came out and it was just a giant hunk of steak, but had good flavor. The pork taco was disgusting. The steak fajitas and steak burrito had so much of everything except actual steak. I built my own burrito and items were definitely missing. Super disappointing, especially seeing all the great reviews and having multiple neighbors recommend this place. We just won't be back -...

quite possibly the tackiest "mexican" resturant ive ever been to. cheap plastic water cups, plastic margarita glasses, plastic plates... all worn.. an abomination of decor/interior... the salsa seemed decent although def wasnt freshly made as it was all red which indicates they werent blending anything up themselves, maybe just pace and i was hungry idk, although was served with shredded cabbage that was semi wilted... drink menu / prices were on the wall not priced on a menu which made me hesitant to order more than a couple drinks. although they were priced fairly why anyone would gamble and blindly order several im not sure. there were a few glass margarita glasses hanging on the wall and these were merely for show. ive lived cooseby for a couple years and passed this place by and finally got bored enough to stop in and wish i hadnt, the fingergrease on the lightswitch over my table was a definite turn off, fake brick laminate flooring , fake brick fascade wall, angled crummy oainted walls on two sides that have never been cleaned idk ... typically an older clientle indicates a good value for the price place and in this case just screams cheap and probably going out of business but what do i know. i wouldnt be taking any dates here but if ya need a quick buzz and a cheap eat go for it. it was my first and absolutely last time coming in. I cant imagine why there are so many positive reviews for the life of me. i had the elote corn dip appetizer which was a rip off, ($9) dont even know if they squeezed a lime on it, corn didnt seem fresh, frozen perhaps.. my margarita asked if i wanted salt and yeah it doesnt really stick to a plastic rim there was no salt crust just a couple dribbly pebbles on there, and the lime slice was at the bottom not squeezed or accesible to squeeze on the rim or top like...
