I had the 2 meat combo with brisket and pulled pork. The flavor was very good, but I didn't pick up on much smoke flavor, which is what I look for in bbq. The pork was very juicy and tender. The brisket was tender, however the fat was a little on the rubbery side. For sides I got fries and fried okra. Both were very good and crispy. The ranch to dip it in was very good too. I got peach sweet tea, and it was amazing. For dessert I had bread pudding. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was still good and came out piping hot. The service was excellent. Jen was very friendly and took great care of us. It took a little while to get our food, but they definitely give pretty good size portions. I was stuffed when I was finished. Everything was clean and orderly. All in all, I can't say it's the best BBQ I've tasted, but it was far from the worst. It's probably not a place I will make a point to go out of my way, but if I happen to be passing through and I'm craving bbq, I wouldn't hesitate to eat...

The young woman heard me say I had a room at the motel, so she asked if I needed utensils for the food. I like that kind of attention to detail and thoughtful service. My husband and I were traveling South a different way than we usually go. We stayed at the hotel off this exit. The staff there told us about Tractor's. Our server recommended the Big Baler and Little Baler. So, even though it sounded like it would be a mistake, it wasn't. Each offering, from the potato, meat, baked beans, and coleslaw kept their distinct flavor.
Our ticket for the two balers and two drinks was less than $20.00! We liked this restaurant so much, we came back home the same way. And, the dessert both times...
Read moreSave room for dessert. The renowned cobbler is huge, and you need to try it. We ordered turkey with sweet potato fries and slices brisket with baked potato. The brisket was outstanding- tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The baked potato was small, but it left more room for dessert. The turkey was very dry, but the sweet potato fries were outstanding. The brisket did not need sauce, but we smoked the sauces nonetheless. The sweet sauce and the hot sauce added nothing, but the original and the cattlemen sauce were good. We both had the beans. I really liked them, but my wife thought they were average. We split the cobbler into two, and it was still a nice portion for each. The service was great. The ambiance was typical for a small town diner. It's 3 miles off the interstate, but it's...
