This is a well-kept property with a lot of great historical information. We came up to the house, which had a sign saying a Tour Guide was needed to enter. We turned to leave and a friendly workman painting a room stopped to open the front door for us. He was calling the Tour Guide when she appeared from the building across the street. She was charming and knew all the history of the site and much more background on President Truman's life. It's really enjoyable and free. We gladly added a donation to their collection box!

That is a great house being maintained very well by the state of Missouri employees and volunteers the gentleman that gave us the tour was awesome very knowledgeable very easy to communicate with and he listened well thank you for saving the home of one of the country's most greatest presidents great place to visit please stop by visit and buy some very wonderful merchandise to keep supporting that State historical site

Short, low-key tour of a pretty old house. Presidential birthplaces (and birthplaces in general) are relatively pointless things to commemorate—and yet. God bless our public parks. It’s nice to walk around. It’s nice there’s a house with a sunny upstairs bedroom and you can look around it for a minute. And a cat showed up!

I had just eaten fifteen spicy chicken burritos from Taco Bell before coming here, and because no bathroom facilities are provided, I had to use the president's family outhouse, which the staff reacted angrily to and I was asked to leave. How can you deny a visitor their constitutional given right to use the toilet? I have no doubt it's what old Harry would have wanted when I used it, and the founding fathers would weap to see me so roughly evicted from this most sacred toilet in...
