Eastside Pool — Restaurant in Lancaster

A great place to swim all year round. On an average day you'll find 2 lifeguards on deck, and another 2-3 lifeguards/senior lifeguard/ supervisor sitting inside the pool reception area doing NOTHING. Try and ask them a question they will react with annoyance. Why hire so many if they don't want to be there? With the exception of a few, most of the lifeguards are not friendly. Also, some of them seem to be out of shape, so one has to wonder about their training factor and the speed of it. Yesterday December 28, 2022 swam noon lap. They rang the bell for us to get out of the water at 12:58pm instead of 1:00pm. By 12:59pm the staff shut off the electricity on the deck. For those swimmers who may be visually impaired it's a safety hazard to be walking in a semi dark wet space. Let alone being able to see the steep pool steps in order to exit. Great pool for the high school competitions and Lifeguards are great. Only problem some parents like to play mind games, unsensitive and don't give kids their space. They take over the space where the high schoolers usually are. Setting up their chairs right next to the high school table and not even sitting in them. The facility should provide a space designated only for high school tables. They do need to provide enough space for all the schools every High School...

The pool itself is good but the changing rooms and showers are in horrible condition. Showers sometimes have only hot water. The shower walls are so outdated, the paint is peeling off and it feels like that place hasn’t been cleaned for a while. The curtains in changing stalls covers only half so everyone can...
