All right, look. I don't usually offer a 5-star review for any restaurant. But, upon leaving from our second visit, I was so impressed with the attention to detail in this establishment that it's beyond a 5-star rating for me. And, when I say attention to detail, I mean every manifestation there is to creating a restaurant and an atmosphere. Everything from the menu to the window coverings were given an immense amount of consideration. The tables and chairs, the patio area, the color combinations, the vibe, the folder that your bill comes in, give the appearance that somebody was paying very good attention to what they wanted to convey to their guests. Even everyone's eyeglasses were interesting! Well done. My Love and I have been to Ravens Nest twice times now. Another component to our five star rating is, without question, their food! Isn't that what it's all about!??! We have never been so impressed with a restaurant's offerings from anywhere in the Antelope Valley, or surrounding areas. Everything was perfectly seasoned. To order salt and pepper to the table is to insult the Magnificent Chef in the kitchen! There's no need for it. That's why there isn't any on the table! It should be perfect when it gets there. If you're not satisfied with the seasoning of your dish, you'll have to send it back. Frankly, I doubt you'll do it. We ordered a delicious appetizer of scallops baked in a shell with a wild mushroom Parmesan sauce with truffle oil topped with some baby greens that was to die for. The scallops were tender and decadent. I ordered halibut over a bed of risotto that was so well seasoned that I actually slowed my roll so that I could enjoy the flavors dancing on my palate for an extra moment or two. (A very rare occurrence for me.) The pizza that we had was delicious. The crust is like no crust anywhere in this Valley. Very tender and tasty. And, I love the idea that it's not drowning in a marinara, or any other sauce. The sauce was perfectly distributed, and a perfect amount of it. On the previous visit, we were there for their brunch offerings. I had a special ordered brunch Burger that was spot-on, and delicious. Seasoned perfectly. I loved the "RN" branded on top of the bun. Nice touch. My wife's omelet was just how she likes it. And, the bacon I thought came from the Lane Ranch directly to the north of the premises. I had to have that clarified, it isn't. All in all, this is a big city place in an itty bitty strip mall in Quartz Hill. I would expect to have offerings like this in Downtown LA, New York, Albuquerque or Las Vegas. Not here. But, I feel that they've done that successfully. No place else in this entire Antelope Valley has that distinction in my view. The wonderful woman who is proprietor of this establishment has essentially decided to marry her restaurant so as to keep the attention that's necessary to having a genuinely elegant place to have dinner in the Antelope Valley. My hat's off to her. Congratulations to you and your entire staff for offering a fabulous place to us.

Ravens Nest is a little hidden bestro near the Antelope Acers. It has the ambiance of Gothic meet Roman times in a modern age infused. The interior is that of black and a rose red color with the decore looking simple and elegant at the same time. It also has a touch of some old school pictures reverting back to the 20's 30's Era. It is an upper-class scale that is opened for only 4 hrs. When you eat here come with deep pockets. Not only that, the food would Entice you to buy more. Their menu is easy to obtain by going onto the website or simply scanning your phone on a QR Code on the table. Now for the food which is the best part! I found this restaurant initially through my mom, who heard from a friend. So my wife and I decided to try it out not only once but we went twice. The waiters and waitresses are very tentative and on point, as you would expect from fine dining. I had ordered the chef special, which was brazen lamb shanks it's not on the menu, but it is very delicious. It had a combination of a cream tomato butter sauce that was infused with some parsley, and the meat was so tender it fell right off the bone. If there was at all any complaints about this dish is that, the tomato sauce was overpowering. I also ordered their house sangria wine, which was with natural ingredient. However, wine tastes too cheap, and I would not order it again. My wife had ordered the Greek lamb chops cooked rare to medium rare. The sauce combination was equivalent to a white wine with a little hint of Himalayan salt, lemon, parsley thyme, and garlic. My wife had ordered a hibiscus tea which was one of the best hibiscus tea's I've ever tried and I would recommend if you're tea lover, order the hibiscus tea you won't regret it very smooth, very fruity and well balanced. The 2nd time we went there, which is today, I ordered a different dish it was a pasta called Petriello. The noodles were purple, very unique, and cooked to perfection. The presentation was organized with parsley that was all over the top of the pasta. There were red cherry tomatoes, and the yellow sweet tomatoes gave it a savory sweet taste. The sauce in it was creamy tasted like it had some sort of guda cheese and vodka flavored. There was a lot of Italian sausage as well, which I thought was overpowering the pasta, and after a while, it tasted like salt was taking over. I find myself having to take the wine I had ordered to help wash it down. The wine is called "The Moon." It is a persecco lavender, rose infused spritzer. Which was sweet savory and had a flavor of chimoy sprinkled on the edge of the wine glass. Which I would be ordering again perfect wine. If you decide to get the lamb Shanks or the Greek lamb, I suggest presecco or riesling. Great pair! And lastly, the lobster roll. The lobster roll was an appetizer that we tried out was very sweet and savory had that lobster taste that you would expect. The aolí sauce was creamy and went well with the roll that was also on a lightly toast bread roll. We will be eating here again!

To be honest the place is overpriced for the food but the service is good. When I see the word Gothic I think of gloom, dreary, sad, dark, bleak, lifeless, and not interesting, but the bar area had crystals and the likes of a NEW AGE so I don't know how Gothic lighting/theme (SAD) mixes with New Age items (feeling happy). Once I arrived I saw the building sign read 'Gourment Gothic Resturant' below the name of the resturant and decided that this would not be my thing and was expecting everyone all dressed in gothic clothing when I entered (I like light). I still went in and gave the resturant a try because I recieve Marriot points for dining experiences and posting my review. Upon entering the place felt crowded they do need a bigger resturant for the amount of people there. Since it was only myself I sat at the bar. I order a Pedroncelli Four Grapes Vintage which was great tasting Port wine can't mess that up but they could fill the glass up for a $10 a glass. I wanted to order a good meal but I couldn't justify ordering GREEK LAMB CHOPS at $52, so I just decided to order the PRIME TIME pizza at $25. It took about probably 15 mins for my pizza to arrive and was dissapointed with the overly cooked looking crust that look burnt and thought this is the gothic theme pizza so I guess maybe they are going to make there pizza look as such. I took a bite of the pizza and the taste was just way off, it was sour and sweet but not in a good way and kind of tasted like they used chedder mixed with mozarella. There was only about only 6 pieces of pineapple on the whole pizza. It was not appetizing but I was hungry didn't want to waste my money. It was more of a $12 pizza.

First off, this review is encompassing several different visits: Dinner X 2, Brunch, and a Wine Pairing private event. This place is quite unique in the AV, offering an elevated experience more common in the more upscale or boutique areas of LA. The small but inventive menu and curious cocktails are what keeps us coming back again and again. In reading some of the negative reviews I think it needs to be said that this place is not for everyone. If you're looking for a cheap date this isn't it. If you're looking for a place where kids can run around this isn't it. If you're looking for a place to get hammered with your buddies on strong cheap drinks this isn't it. This classy place is for those that don't mind paying for an experience versus just a meal. The decor is very fun, think Edgar Allen Poe meets Interview with a Vampire. The food is worth the price and even something as simple as the Stuffed Mushrooms or the Bella Lugosi pizza can taste like the best I've found in the AV to date! The brunch menu is a bit on the small side but each dish we tried was worth the price (Woke Omelette, Eggs Benedict, French Toast, etc). My favorite dish so far has been the Pasta Carbonara for dinner. I had to tell myself not to lick the bowl when I was finished because it was THAT good. It tasted like fresh homemade pasta too, none of that dried stuff. I could write an entire review of just the cocktails as they are so delicious, easily something that would have been right at home being served at The Edison or The Blind Rabbit with a $$$ price tag. I love that the cocktails use fresh herbs and flowers as well as infused ice cubes to add flavor and beauty! I haven't been disappointed with any of the drinks I've ordered, even the two house beers on tap are perfect alongside their pizza. All in all this is my new favorite date place and we will keep coming back! My only recommendation is that there was a TV in the bar area not being used on any of our visits. I think it would really add to the ambiance if some old silent movies or original monster movies could be playing from time to time...Nosferatu, Metropolis, The Mummy, anything with...
