I frequent this place a lot because of their really good coffee creations. But a recent visit made me rethink this place as well as all other places where dogs are welcome and bones are handed out as treats.
Before I begin I have no issue with dogs at all but I do believe that dogs do NOT belong in certain spaces where food is prepared and sold. Dogs shake and shed, drool, and people love to pet them which in turn creates an unclean environment.
I walked in to this establishment and there were two large size dogs inside of this cozy place. One was at the register getting a treat from the person at the register. The cashier then proceeds to let the dog nose touch on the back of their hands with his nose. Cute again nothing against dogs and if you’re a dog person it’s probably in your nature to pet them. Anywhooo
The same cashier goes back to the register to take the next persons order the cashier puts hand sanitizer instead of taking a min to wash their hands with soap and water …. then proceeds to the icebox to fix a drink. . . Great I’ll take a medium cup of hand sanitizer, dog nose juice and treat remnants please.
Here’s a few things to consider…
Dog treats behind the register that are passed out to dogs then the same hands are back in the ice box a short time later preparing drinks … eeeek
Everyone isn’t washing their hands in between dog treats distribution, money handling and preparing food.
I know we love our furry friends but please consider keeping dog treats completely separate from behind the register. People can grab their own dog treats.
I probably won’t be back which sucks because they do have great drinks here that aren’t found in the area the other coffee shop is a holy mess but yeah people keep your hands washed with soap and water and stay out of dogs faces when dealing with food and drinks that people have to consume. Everyone doesn’t live more like to share...
Read moreWe stopped at the French Express Coffee House in China Grove, NC on our way north from Charlotte and it was a complete let-down.
The Toffee Latte tasted like Keurig Coffee and was a disaster. The Mellow Mango smoothie tasted like mango with cough syrup, not recommended at all. The muffins we got—banana nut and cranberry tasted stale as well.
They’ve the drive through option which we opted for. If you skip the drive through and opt for the in store shopping option, it’ll be quicker.
I won’t recommend this...
Read moreVery quiet and cute coffee shop off highway 29. They have a drive through but it can get backed up since it's a smaller space- the service is usually pretty fast. They have a very wide variety of drinks and flavor combinations (with a lot of the flavors being offered without added sugar) this tastes amazing for the price, and is definitely worth the stop! Drink pictured is a chocolate banana latte...
