This restaurant serves primarly West African dishes, so since I'm of West African descent I decided to give it a try. I usually eat at Queensway which is okay but the not great. But I wish I had stck to Queensway because this place is the Worst!!!!!!!!!!! A sibling of mine told me about a prior incident of seeing a ROACH in their bathroom, but I still gave them the benefit of the doubt since the location was convenient. First the wait (even after you pre-order) is ridiculous!! I ordered appertizers and i had to wait for 26 mins (YEs I timed it !!), which took almost my entire lunch break!! They are ridiculousy expensive !!! 2 meat pies, two sticks of suya and a small goat pepper soup cost me over $30 !! WTH ?!! Then what really screwed me over is I just realized that they ADD THEIR OWN TIP PEOPLE !! Typical Naija fraud ! My receipt was $30 and when I checked my bank account the next day they added $3..I intentionally cross out the tip line of receipt anytime I PICK UP FOOD (NOT DELIVERY). So why in the world would they tip themselves, that is theft ! I told my brother abot this and guess what? SAME THING !!! HE WAS CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $4 WITHOUT CONSENT!! PEOPLE PLEASE CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT AFTER YOU USE YOUR CREDIT CARD HERE !! I WILL BE REPORTING THEM TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU...
Read moreDecided to try this place driving past. For whatever reason before i left I checked my food when i got to the car. Had about 6 or 7pieces of oxtail in my meal and half of them literally had no meat on it, the others were small and mostly gristle that cant be chewed. There wasnt even cooked down meat in the gravy. I didnt think to take a picture because i thought sure if i showed them they would find enough oxtail to make my plate look balanced. 18 dollars for rice and gravy and bones? Now i know oxtails arent cheap right now but i like them so i bought a meal i literally had to leave on the counter after the two ladies trying to convince me that oxtails are supposed to have no meat. They acted like they didnt want to be bothered when i showed them. One finally caved and agreed to put ONE piece of meat in. Got a boatload of rice tho. I walked out the store and never will return. Im not about to argue about food. I took the L. I have had oxtails everywhere from Jamaica to NYC. I am aware that the oxtail meat is supposed to be around the bone and there isnt a lot on each one individually but i was literally showing her i can see the entire bone in atleast half of the "meat" in my meal. They didnt refund me. I just left it there and wrote my first review...
