Lucky Star — Restaurant in Landover

I normally don't leave bad reviews but buyer beware! I spent $111 on food for my large family. I ordered from Uber Eats so after fees and tax I spent a total of $139.11. When I say the only thing that had flavor and was actually good was the seasoned fries! Which we paid for them to put mumbo sauce on and they did not. The regular fries were soggy and had nothing on them, not even salt or pepper!!! Once again we paid extra for mumbo sauce on the fries, but no. The shrimp and broccoli and the sweet and sour chicken were both so bland that it was pointless to even eat it. The General Tsos chicken had some flavor so at least it was edible but it still wasn't really good. I didn't even taste the shrimp fried rice or open the chicken wings because I know I'm going to need to season them myself. This experience was just unbelievable. This was our first and last time ordering from them. I really had a craving for shrimp and broccoli.... and I still do because of how flavorless theirs was. Its 0534 now. Ate the fried fish platter around 2100, went to bed around 0100, woke up around 0450ish, felt funny, stomach growling, laid in bed for a few more minutes, that's when it hit. Got up went to the bathroom about 0456. Ladies and gentlemen, I filled the toilet, it just came pouring out til About 0516. Stayed another 10 min to make sure, now back in bed. Stomach is still growin. If I have to go back in for a encore I'll update. Givin it 2 stars cause it tasted so good goin down, but I think I'm done. Goodbye lucky star.

Just to comment on a few of the customer service reviews regarding attitudes. I understand their attitudes sometimes. If you've noticed, they're behind, what looks to be, bullet proof glass, so that right there tells you about the clientele that patronize the place. I've seen some real idiots walk in and order, I've seen the way some customers walk in with attitudes and talk to them with disrespect. Smartin off and bein belligerent. I went to Lucky Star because i was craving lo mein they are the only Chinese store on Landover road that has treated me with respect in the past few years. I went tonight and was not once greeted with a smile. Unfortunately my experience tonight has solidified my desire to not patronize a Chinese food restaurant ever again in the future. I can never understand how businesses can take your money but do not feel they need to provide good customer service and charge extra for what is traditionally included in good service.
