El Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Lanett

Had a very racist experience here. The owner does not care for African American people. He was very rude and as i was standing right in front of him at the register he told several white customers to come in front of me (at least 10 different customers that were not in the same party) then when he finally addressed me he told me he wasn’t going to fix my food that was prepared wrong unless I paid for it. I’ll never eat there again but I will say the restaurant is the most up to date aesthetically in the valley/Lanett area so if that’s most important to you then you may wanna eat here. Also the food isn’t good to me either. I’ve eaten here about 3 times over the span of about 10 years and I’ve usually only chosen them because of convenience (closest to where I was living) or because someone else was having a dinner there. The food is mediocre at best. flavor fell flat, especially the rice, bland and dry. and the protein is over cooked and chewy. but it is cheap. The service is lacking. Either they hover and annoy the hell out of you or when you actually need something there's no one there and trying to flag them down is a pain in the butt. Also the last 3 times I have been there we were put at a booth under this cactus that is just covered in cobwebs, so much so I expect a torrent of spiders to come cover the tables, I've pointed this out 3 times now and it still hasn't been clean. To-go order placed 25 mins prior to arrival. Upon arrival, food was not ready. I waited for 17 minutes before the gentleman from the front returned to take my payment. I then waited another 8 minutes before the food came out. I had ordered cheese dip which came out in a to-go tin foil pan. Consequently, this cheese dip is now all over the front seat of my car. The chips were placed in the bag upside down, which are also now all over the front of my car. The food was not good. The cheese dip, which now decorates my front seat, seems to be mixed with water.
