Food takes a good minute to prepare. Prices are what you would expect for Jamaican Cuisine. Portions are eh... lots of rice the rest is normal I guess. Looked like maybe a quater chicken, legand thigh chopped up. 4-5 ox tails, again chopped. A 3-4 oz portion of side (cabbage) and 2 slices plantains. The rice they use is uncle ben's type of rice, I'm not a fan. This is Not that soft fluffy rice. The jerk chicken was dry, unflavored, really bland, had grill marks and tasted like unseasoned grilled chicken, it was so unpleasant to eat that it ended up in the trash can. Out of 6 people in my home NO ONE wanted it. Not even the eat you out of house and home teen age boys! The ox tails we're ok because oxtails are just tender and yummy but again NO FLAVOR. We added some seasoning to it but still not what you expect from a Jamaican food establishment. The jerk and beef patties were good and probably the only thing worth eating. I'm REALLY disappointed in this place because I REALLY TRULY wanted to like it... wanted to love it! But it's NOT what I had hoped for. When I spoke to multiple fam about it they all said "The word on street is it ain't no good" Wish I'd asked before dropping $70 here. I will continue to travel out to get my goooood Jamaican food. Please do not let this determine your liking for Jamaican food, this is NOT a good representation. I hope they revamp their recipes and folks start talking good about it, then maybe I'll give it another try. The service was good, they are friendly and helpful. Just wish the food matched the service. Drinks I ordered and wanted were not available cold and who wants a hot beverage? To have so much invested in starting your own business I truly hope this serves to help improve your business and make it a success. Best of luck! I will def update this review if...
Read moreGot the Jerk Chicken and Curry Chicken (photos attached) and we were amazed by the flavor. The flavors of both dishes were incredible and the chicken was of great quality. Tasted exactly how I imagined home-cooked Jamaican food would taste. Prices may seem steep at first glance, but the portions were great and supporting a local business with GOOD food is worth any price. It appears to be a single person running the business, but that didn’t diminish the quality of food or service whatsoever. Stop by if you want to try REAL food made by...
Read moreMy wife and I visited for the first time today. I got the jerk chicken (which I've never had anywhere) and she got the ox tail. All was served with seasoned rice, cabbage, and fried plantains. Everything was amazing. It was spicy, and flavorful. We got the large portion and it was enough for lunch and dinner. It's the most delicious food I've eaten in awhile. We'll...
