I usually take into consideration, when leaving a review, if the establishment was very busy, understaffed, etc. So I don't feel bad leaving this review, since they weren't even busy, and had plenty of staff. The only good thing I can say about the food, is that the chips and salsa were good. If they'd like to know a good chile relleno recipe, they're literally all over the internet. It looked like a square omelette, with a sliver of a pepper inside it. Also, someone doesn't know what carne asada is. I still cannot identify what cut of meat I was served, and I know my way around beef. The wait was pretty long, and the food was room temp at best. Rice was pretty bland and tasted like it was made days ahead. Tortillas tasted like GV tortillas from Wal-Mart. Lettuce was limp and dry on the edges, probably cut up days ahead. We weren't even given menus and the waitress was trying to take orders.
I'm glad my boss took care of the bill, because I wouldn't have paid for anything but the chips.
There's another Mexican restaurant in Langley off highway 28 that's...
Read moreI am very disappointed in the service every time I come here. Nobody ever greets us politely. Rather than smiling and welcoming us, they unenthusiastically seat their guests. When we asked to sit near the window, the hostess rolled her eyes and shrugged. We thanked her for sitting us there and she looked at us but did not smile or say you’re welcome. She was very impolite, as are all of the staff here. After we were seated, it took over 5 minutes for someone to take our drink order. We waited a very long time for our meal, when they weren’t busy at all. My mom was charged .50 cents for a soda refill (the first drink was filled with ice to the rim) when their menu says free refills on soft drinks. A Diet Coke, water, burrito meal, and 2 cheese enchilada meal was $30. The pricy is extremely high for the quality of food and service that you receive. I would not recommend this place to anybody unless they were absolutely starving on a Sunday evening, like myself tonight. All in all, very...
Read moreI am not the one to typically leave reviews but my boyfriend and I did not have a good experience. First off, we walked in and were not greeted at all. We waited and eventually my boyfriend had to ask if we had to seat ourselves. We finally got to our table and waited at least 15 minutes for a waitress to even come to our table so we could order water. We had decided to share fajitas as most dishes were $15+ which is ridiculous for a very average mexican restaurant. We finally got our food and the quality was awful. In the fajitas, there were maybe 7 chunks of chicken, 90% onions, and looked uncooked. As for the side dishes, the rice was mushy, and the guacamole had HUGE chunks of tomato and was already browning. To top it off, the waitress was not very friendly and only came back to our table to drop off the check. Can't really think of a single positive that came with eating here. We won't...
