I would not recommend this establishment to anyone that holds great service as necessary for a great experience. Every interaction I had with the wait staff at this restaurant was poor. I came in only wanting lunch, and left to immediately write this review to save someone else from a poor experience.
I came to this restaurant for lunch because it is one of the few hibachi restaurants in the area. I walked in and was not greeted. I attempted to get the attention of three different associates while at the hostess stand; one of them walked away, one ignored me while standing at the bar, and the other was on the phone (understandable that she didn't respond, but she could've at least acknowledged me). I sat myself once I realized no one was coming to the hostess stand to greet me. AFTER I sat myself, the associate standing at the bar on her iPhone, that had previousy ignored me, walked up to ask if I would be dining in or picking up.
I order my lunch and my drink. My food was delivered, no eye contact, no asking if i needed anything additional. At no point did anyone come to the table to check if the food was OK. I was given my check and my to go box before I had requested either of them. I felt as though I was being rushed. I did not appreciate that as I planned on ordering more food to go. My waitress was very short tempered.
To top it all off, I was double charged after specifying that I did not want another drink. When I asked for a refund on the drink that I did not request, another associate came out to perform that refund, and she was also short tempered.
For the $50 that I spent on this meal, I'm extremely unhappy with the level of service provided to me. I'm additionally disappointed in the response from the waitstaff. It was as though they were upset with me for being upset at their...
Read moreSo I just would like to say I have been going to this restaurant for years now and I have had several bad experiences. I am finally tired of it and I'm deciding to never go back again. One time there was a hair on a piece of ice cream that we ordered and the lady went to the back and took the hair off and brought us the same exact ice cream back out. When we looked at her crazy and asked her if that was the same ice cream she shook her head yes and we told her that we did not want it that she could just take it back and she seemed disturbed by that. On several occasions I have ordered food to go and it is usually never what I order. This last time I decided to check my food to make sure that it was right and it appeared so. Once I got home, 30 minutes away, I bit into what I thought was a shrimp shumai and it was something that I could not figure out of its origin. So I called them and asked them what other types of shumai they had and they assured me that it was the shrimp shumai. If it was shrimp it definitely was not cooked. So I explained this to the man over the phone. He laughed, just as he has done at least two or three other times before, and assured me that it was shrimp. Every time my order is incorrect they never offer to make it right. They only argue with me. It is your decision to go to this restaurant, but in my opinion they do not care about their...
Read moreYes the food was good, spectacular even so that's why I have them give stars. This has been done of the best sushi I have had in a while. The steak was medium perfectly cooked and mild salt pepper etc. The good was so good in fact, I overlooked the staffs blatant and very terrible service; even tipped according to services rendered for two plus ;Flat out rude. Maybe they have had problems here in the past who knows but since I had driven for nearly an hour to get there this should not be my problem. To top things off, they mostly said no English and pointed to another host/hostess. Lastly the chef, although being very good at his craft kept his back to my party of three couples (those of whom that came out for the first time to celebrate one's date of birth.) Birthday girl he did cheer a couple times but he tended to the other table. I won't be going back, thank you for the REALLY...
