I walked in and was not greeted by anybody. Decided I would seat myself. Walked around and all empty tables were not bussed. Still no assistance. Sat at the bar. Was only one person working at bar. She was working hard and was very polite. Ordered Panchos as an appetizer. Took forever and looked like nachos I made in microwave as a 14yr old. Sent these back and ordered fried mushrooms instead. These were exactly like any fried cheap appetizer u would expect from TGIF. Batter had no seasoning at all. They were very hot and batter was not crispy? Then ordered lobster bisque. Came almost room temp. Sent back. Came back barely hot enough. Was provided a stir spoon. Lol. Had to ask for a soup spoon. Not sure there was any lobster in this. Had three beers while waiting thru this and they were not cold. This place is not cheap. Seems like they need to figure out the basics. I was prepared to order a regular entree but after the disappointing appetizer rodeo I was afraid too. Left still a little hungry. I did receive a food discount without having to ask. Everyone was nice. This is an expensive place. The kitchen is not in order. Hopefully they turn it around. I remember this...
Read moreThis was the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in ages. We made a reservation, but no-one greeted us. We walked upstairs, back downstairs, back upstairs and just sat at a table. The server eventually got to us with waters and menus, but no wine list. She is in the wrong job: no hospitality, no knowledge, no friendliness. She eventually got back to take our order - she’d be fine in a diner. She slipped a glass of white wine down for me when I’d asked for a cab sauv. She then gave me the glass in her other hand which may or may not have been what I ordered. The food came 35 minutes after we ordered - there were four other active tables in the restaurant. My medium-rare had no red, no taste, and was lukewarm. The vegetables were overcooked and cool. The baked potato was chunky and cool - the butter never even melted. The server didn’t care when I pointed this out and despite managerial- looking people around, no-one said anything. I get better service, better flavour, and hotter food at...
Read moreI am from Oregon. This experience in Laredo Texas was so amazing and memorable! The Tack Room is a hidden gem among restaurants. The atmosphere is so amazing. I spent time here dining and drinking each of my 3 days. The manager Adriana is cordial, professional and with amazing energy and leadership. Adrianna, like all bartenders and staff are bilingual. The chef has to be top tier as the food presentation, taste and quality is top in the industry. Bartender Esteban is a veteran...45 years tending bar. While he is quiet and methodical in making cocktails, once you talk to him he is a wealth of culture and history. Raull was my server twice. He is absolutely cordial, upbeat and professional. No food suggestion he made disappointed me. Last, this is a border town. Right outside the door there is a plethora of activity. Inside it is a true mixture of cultures. I'm the beard guy that spent amazing time enjoying your cuisine, drinks and...
